It almost makes me give up hope that people like that can become enlightened. It is very sad indeed that anyone could seriously feel this way about a person. Homosexuality is not something that needs a cure. Homosexuality is not something that can be "cured". It is in no way a disease. To claim that something as horrible as AIDS is a cure for anything is unfathomable to me. Its like saying starving to death is the cure to poverty, STDs are the cure for premarital sex, genocide is the cure for political rivalries. I just can't imagine that anyone could feel this way, and yet here are these people who honestly believe that AIDS was created to cure the world of homosexuality. Can't you see that it is Africa that suffers the worst from HIV/AIDS? There were a few African-Americans who had this sentiment. Is HIV/AIDS the cure to rid the planet of your people? No. HIV/AIDS is a terrible affliction that is the cure for nothing. It should never be seen as something positive. I truly pity those of you who even remotely feel this way. It is a shame that anyone can be this ignorant. (more)

I am appalled that a school would actually rather cancel prom than to allow same-sex couples to attend. If this isn't a clear example of discrimination then I don't know what is. Lets at least try to act like we don't discriminate at our schools. Schools should not be able to dictate what type of relationships are appropriate for a public school function based on sexual orientation, race, religion or any other similar criteria. (more)

A movement like this barely getting any coverage? Its just sad. But its just a reflection of the people who watch the station. They don't care about equality for gay people; if anything they'd take away more rights if they could or will us back into hiding. And that is the saddest part of it all.
