46 year old gun carrying,and amunition counting conservative RN.
Have been in nursing profession since 81 and still at it. All but past eight years was in hospital, med surg, orthopedics, icu, er, pediatrics, geriatric, you name it i have worked there except for day surg. all but last 8 years worked night shift. now first big change. but ok.
My mom died of colon ca in 2002, my dad is still living. i have a sister brother in law and a 16 year old redneck nephew who has had a tatoo since he was 14 who is 6ft tall and weighs 135 lb. i live with a room mate who is a pain in the ass. but i have many good friends who i work with.
I love fishing, working in vegetable garden, woodworking, redoing all the wood in my house, have redone all the wood, romoved dark wood place white oak in all parts of our house and floor. I have had to learn to be self reliant, so i work on my own tractor, lawn mower, or whatever needs worked on. I smoke and when i try to quit, people beg me to smoke, even if i dip.I love anything i can do outside, but despise housework, and will do anything to get out of it. I love camping, making camp fires, riding on old dirt roads, love collecting antiques especially old carnival glass. like boating skining, and torturing my room mate any chance i can such as sending her to a mental hospital. ha I love my dogs more than i do my family. They love you back unconditionally. I get angry easily, and they say i sigh when i get pissed and dont say nothing, rest of the time i scream cuss and throw things, especially when they start talking away my guns.
was never that into politics, even this year, but i vote. But when they started talking about taking away my guns, i have been loading up, and they will have to pull them out of my dead cold hands before they get them. I believe we should always be able to protect ourself, although i have to hide them from my mental room mate. Since I dont have many family member left, my roommate's family has adopted me, and they like me better than her. ha
that is all about me. i am just a life time nurse, always loved emergency situations, and then i have also geriatric, which now that is mostly what i deal with. i was the D,O.N for three years of the nursing home i work at, but didnt like the desk job, and listening to all the complaints of the entire nursing home, so now i work in rehab as supervisor and like it much better. Not as ill anymore, and people can tolerate me a little better.
