Originally from the NY/Northern NJ area, I relocated to Florida 13 years ago. Obviously, I've experienced some culture shock. It's definitely a big change from what I'm used to, and I'm still adjusting!

I'm a married mom with four cats and two kids. My husband is on Sodahead as well - http://www.sodahead.com/user/... . My son is a sophomore in college and working toward earning a BFA in Stage Management. My daughter is 11 and attends a performing arts school. She started Middle School (6th Grade) this year and is a drama major - which suits her very well!

I love to cook! My kids showed an interest from a fairly early age, and being in the kitchen with them is one of my favorite things.

After my daughter was born, we made the decision that I would try working from home so I could be there for our kids. It meant making some sacrifices, but we think it was worth it. My son is away at school most of the year, and my daughter is in Middle School, so it's time for me to go back to working outside the home. A little intimidating after 10 years away from the "real" work force!

I used to be a relatively apolitical social liberal until the selection of 2000. That and this administration's blatant and egregious disregard for the constitution forced me into awareness and activism. This election season has been a very busy one!
