About Me

55yr old. partnered, intersexed, gay man. I am a handicapped (arms, hands) ex-histology tech. and my partner is a retired speech pathologist. In the winter we live in a hi-rise overlooking a park in the middle of downtown. In the summer we live in a tin can at a gay camp ground. Lee has a daughter with son in law and grand-daughter. I have 3 kids, all 25yrs. old; adopted son, step daughter by ex-partner, niece, her partner and toddler daughter.

Interests

Singing and more singing. I have 35yrs. of church singing, gay men's chorus and currently Lyric Chorale. Dancing, Nature, reading, music, my pets and kids, Neo-Pagan practioner - I'm a mystic of Green, Celtic, Catholic/Episcopal traditions - no dogma, current events, community stuff, cooking, trains, naturism (nudism), movies, theatre. I'm an avid reader and have done some pretty extenisve reading on the history of religion. I'm a scientist above all else, naturalist, rock collector, great lover of animals. I love all the geeky stuff and try to stay current.

Favorite Music

I like to sing American Standards from the 30's, 40's. I like ancient, baroque and romanitc age music best. I love to dance so I like all disco and techno dance music. I'm fussy about new singers, they have to actually be able to sing. Katy Perry and Christine Aguillera, Adelle...actually the list is growing I like a lot of young ones but am disappointed in lack of good new male singers. I'm also a big jazz and big band fan and do sing some jazz. I don't like rap (boring) or country (even more boring).

Favorite TV Shows

I like to watch the MSNBC news and opinion line up. I do watch C-Span on occasion, CNN, BBC, even Fox because I want to really know who is saying what, not just claim to know. My favorite TV show is Myth Busters. I watch some gay TV; Logo. I also like the cooking channel, Discovery Channel and Sci Fy, Discover - all the geeky stuff.

Favorite Movies

Amalie, Coffee Date, Men in Black, Pirates of Caribean, Death Becomes Her, Harry Potter, Chocolat, Kilometer 0, Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Milk, Indiana Jones, Iron Man, Another Gay Movie. More GLBT movies than I can list. But my fav is the one I was in - Intersexion, a NZ documentary by the intersexed about being intersexed.

Misquoting Jesus (and a whole lot of other Bart D. Ehrman books), Intersex and Identity - Sharon Preeves, Jesus' Family Values - Deirdre Good, The Pillars of the Earth - Ken Follet, Neverwhere - Neil Gaiman, P.G. Wodehouse's Jeeves and Bertie stories. "The Biology of Belief", Bruce H. Lipton and of course "Faulty Dogs".
