When we are struggling in our Christian life and hav... When we are struggling in our Christian life and have doubts, does it mean we have less faith? (more)
+2 raves Many people in the Bible whom we consider to be pillars of faith had moments of doubt. The key is... Many people in the Bible whom we consider to be pillars of faith had moments of doubt. The key is to never give up on our faith and to always ask if, over time, our lives have been moving closer to or farther away from God.
example of doubts:
"But Abram said, O Sovereign LORD,how can I know that I will gain possession of it? [Gen.15:8.]
"When John the Baptist...heard in prison what Christ was doing, he sent his disciples "to ask him, "Are you the one who was to come, or should we expect someone else?
[Matt,11:2-3.]
Even during moments of doubt, you must invest the effort and discipline to allow your faith to grow.
"Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ,
To those who through the righteousness of God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious
as ours:"
"Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord."
"His divine power has given us everything we need for
life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness"
"Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires."
'For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;"
"and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;"
"and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love."
"For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ."
"But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins."
"Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall,"
"and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."

Should we be careful about criticizing others? And H... Should we be careful about criticizing others? And How should we respond to criticism? (more)
+3 raves Constructive criticism should always be a welcome and wholesome gift, if given in a spirit of lov... Constructive criticism should always be a welcome and wholesome gift, if given in a spirit of love.
But we have no right to give deprecating criticism of another, for that is trying to be a judge over that person, and God alone is our judge.
God said:"Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it."" There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy. But you,
who are you to judge your neighbor?" [James 4:11-12.]
Consider it a privilege to be criticized for your faith in God.
God has special blessings for those who patiently endure this kind of criticism.
God said:"If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you." [1Peter 4:14.]
If you are criticized, stay calm, and don't lash back. Evaluate whether the criticism is coming from a person with a reputation for telling the truth or lies. Ask yourself if the criticism is meant to heal or hurt.
God said:" Afool shows his annoyance at once, but a prudent man overlooks an insult."[Pro.12:16.]
So, remember, always work to maintain a clear conscience by being honest and trustworthy. This allows you to shrug off criticism that you know is unjustified.

What is our responsibility regarding our confession ... What is our responsibility regarding our confession of Christ? And what is involved in true confession? (more)
+3 raves Our responsibility in our confession to Christ is to confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord a... Our responsibility in our confession to Christ is to confess
with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead, we will be saved.
Jesus said:"Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven." [Mt.10:32.] and "The man who says, I know him, but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him." [ 1John 2:4.]
So, If we want Christ to acknowledge him as our Redeemer. He will claim us in the Day of Judgment as we claim him now.
And true confession to God not man, involves, having Sorrow for our sin, humility before God, seeking God and his forgiveness, turning to God in prayer, turning from sin, these are ingredients of confession to God. The list goes on and on.God said:" The days of the blameless are known to the Lord, and their inheritance will endure forever. [Ps.37:18.]

+5 raves Compromise is inappropriate when the compromise is motivated by people pleasing or following the ... Compromise is inappropriate when the compromise is motivated by people pleasing or following the bad example of others.
God said:"Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God."
[ 3John 1:11.]
"Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding with the crowd." [Ex.23:2.]
"Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires." [Romans 6:12.]
It is never appropriate to compromise your Christian convictions.
God said:"Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes." [Eph. 6:11.]
"No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." [1Cor.10:13.]

+4 raves We've all seen the track record of human governments. How, then, would government differ under Go... We've all seen the track record of human governments. How, then, would government differ under God?
First, God's government would be far better for us because God is perfect[Matt. 5:48] no more relying on badly flawed human beings!
Second, God truly cares for us. He deals with human beings from a position of godly love, of outgoing concern for us,[1John 4:7-10.] He did, after all, give His only Son to die for humankind that we may live; He didn't send Him to condemn us.[John 3:16-17].
Third, with God at the helm of human societies, He will deal fairly with human beings, without partiality and with no biases. Isa. 11:2-4 says of Jesus Christ, the coming head of God's government on earth, that "He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears; but with righteousness He shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth."
Jesus Christ, having lived and died as a human being, understands all that we go through because He has experienced it Himself [Heb.4:15]. For this reason the Father "has entrusted all judgment to the Son"
[John 5:22]
Fourth, the world will be governed according to God's perfect "law of liberty" [James 1:25], called that because it truly sets mankind free from suffering, pain and sorrow that results from sin. King David said that this law
"is perfect, converting the soul"[Ps.19:7].
Obeying it will transform our lives.
I could go on and on, but you get the picture. God's government on the earth over humanity would be an infinite improvement over any government formed by human beings. God and Christ Jesus aren't political.
Remove politics, add God's righteousness, wisdom
and perfection, and you have the formula for a government that will truly transform the world.

+2 raves God cannot lie because He is truth. God, therefore, cannot break His promises. His Word stands ... God cannot lie because He is truth.
God, therefore, cannot break His promises.
His Word stands forever.
God must be trusted as our hope because He alone conquered death by raising Jesus Christ from the dead.
1Peter 1:21. says:"Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God."
Heb.10:23. says:" Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." also 6:18-19.
"God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged."
"We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain."
So, remember, The Lord himself is the source of hope because he determines our future.

+3 raves The Lord will give us renewed strength when we grow weary. Isa.40:29-31.says:" He gives strength... The Lord will give us renewed strength when we grow weary.
Isa.40:29-31.says:" He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.""Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;" "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
Jesus said, at Matt.11:28." Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
2cor.12:9." My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." And Heb.12:3,12-13. says:
"Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."
"Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.
Make level paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed."

+3 raves Trusting God means obeying his commands even when we don't fully understand, it means recognizing... Trusting God means obeying his commands even when we don't fully understand, it means recognizing that God is trustworthy and then trusting him above all else.
We can trust God enough to obey, because his Word is true and will bring happiness.
The Scriptures say:" In him our hearts rejoice, for we are trusting in his Holy Name.
"Happy are those who delight in doing what he commands.
Trusting God means depending on Christ alone for Salvation."
John 3:36.says:" Who ever believes in the Son has eternal life'.
Trusting Christ for Salvation means ceasing to trust in our own efforts to be righteous.
Gal.2:16. says:"Know that a man is not justified by observing the law'.
1Peter 1:8.says: "Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now,
you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls."
God said:"You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
