i don´t think you understand how complex the world is and how impossibly long a book would have to be to explain it all. the bible doesn´t go over biology or chemistry, does it? no. does it go over slavery? no. does it go over electronics? no.

if god didn´t mention the evils of slavery in the bible, what makes you think he would have to mention evolution? it´s a little book. how can it possibly fit all the information about the universe inside it?

god didn´t mention the evils of slavery in the bible either... only so much room in a book.

the bible has been mistranslated countless times and in the hands of religious leaders without any means of regulation, so i don´t trust that the bible is the word of god. if it was, the word is long gone.

Those who have believing masters must not be disrespectful to them on the ground that they are members of the church; rather they must serve them all the more, since those who benefit by their service are believers and beloved. Teach and urge these duties. Whoever teaches otherwise and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching that is in accordance with godliness, is conceited, understanding nothing, and has a morbid craving for controversy and for disputes about words. From these come envy, dissension, slander, base suspicions, and wrangling among those who are depraved in mind and bereft of the truth, imagining that godliness is a means of gain."
Eph. 6:5-6 "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, in singleness of heart, as you obey Christ; not only while being watched, and in order to please them, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart."
Titus 2:9-10 "Tell slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to talk back, not to pilfer, but to show complete and perfect fidelity, so that in everything they may be an ornament to the doctrine of God our Savior."
sure, the bible is against slavery, just like it is against interracial marriage, right?
The big bang theory was not "started by an atom" and it is a theory, albeit a good one that appears to have a foundation in science.
Think of the core of our earth. if it suddenly cooled and expanded it would destroy most of our immediate universe. Heat and pressure cause the core to be more dense. All that matter can take up a lot or a little space depending on how much compression, or sudden lack of compression.
In addition, 90% of an atom is empty space with a tiny nuclei, not like the pictures we were shown in school of a large center and protons circling. It's a very tiny nuclei.
This leaves open many more possibilities for things like the big bang. Now, wrap your brain around this... You are 90% empty space, yet you appear solid...
Your turn to play. Answer this question...
Where did the biblical God come from and how do you know that evolution wasn't part of his method?
why would god make it possible for us to learn if he didn´t want us to do just that? i think that if we study more, we will learn god´s purpose for us.
most issues in life are laden with compelling issues of choice. the bible is no different.
best to look at it closely for what it is and what it isn't. but maybe my opinion is not valid,
because i chose to look at it from the outside.
as with many items of faith it is subject to interpretation, some study it all their lives and never are able to draw one conclusion. by the way, what are you referring to,
