  • I laughed out loud, really enjoyed that. Now that's a fun trip down memory lane. Also liked Bullwinkle and I was always surprised at how much I enjoyed it when I was older and found all the other comedy that was meant for adults. Now those folks knew how to entertain. The stuff they show kids now is so vapid that it pains me to see it . I watch Spongebob with my grandson and daughter because they love it and I think that is well drawn and with a great story line, one of the very few out there. Thanks again Margaret, that was a classic.

Where were the petitions when the media as a whole tore down our previous sitting President? Where was the petition against The New York times when they printed classified information...a TREASONOUS act. Like him or hate him, Mr. Limbaugh is still protected under the same first amendment as the haters whose new found "unity and love" was noticeably absent for the past eight years.

We all lead such hectic and hurried lives anymore, that we forget to be still. To just slow down and let ourselves be enveloped by the glory that is God. We have so many things on this Earth to remind us that he is everywhere...and we just take them all for granted. We can and should try our best to remember that the world around us is the biggest affirmation of Gods love for us. Just a few suggestions to "feed the soul" by being still....

*Listen to the words you speak – especially in prayer.
*Count your blessings – one at a time and slowly.
*Take nothing for granted: water flows, corn grows, leaves blow.
*Notice the sun and the moon as they rise and set. They are remarkable for their steady pattern of movement, not their speed.
*Quit planning how you’re going to use what you know, learn, or posses. God’s gifts just are. Be grateful and their purpose will be clear.
*Talk and play with children. It will bring out the unhurried little person inside you.
*Listen to the wind blow. It carries a message of yesterday and tomorrow – and now. NOW counts.
*Watch and listen to the night sky. It speaks.
*Take time to read – the Bible, poetry, great books. Thoughtful reading is enriching reading.
*Direct your life with purposeful choices, not with speed and efficiency. The best musician is one who plays with expression and meaning, not the one who finishes first.
Take a day off alone; make a retreat. You can learn from monks and hermits, without becoming one.

Do I think the government is capable of lying to the public..yes. I even think it's necessary for them too, under certain circumstances. I believe that a plan to implode it may have been in place in the event it was needed...but I don't think it was implemented. I also believe there was more than likely a plan to "take down" flight 93 over Pennsylvania with our own military if it meant saving thousands of people. Do I think either plan was enacted...no. Do I think our government was behind 9/11, no. (more)

The Republican Party has lost it's way since Reagan's tenure, and it's got to be changed. We need a leader like Ronnie. A man who of faith and conviction, who knows in his heart what is right, what his beliefs are, and holds steadfast to those principles, even under enormous pressure and scrutiny. On top of everything else, he also had a witty sense of humor and was self deprecating.
