I think I have just learned to be me more because I stand up for myself in a different way and I am less sensitive with people who don't know me and decide what they think I am like but get it wrong. Other than that I have just got some wrinkles, a few grey hairs and a little bit wiser as the years go by. (more)

Okay that is harsh but I don't think it is far from the truth based on what I know about Conservative Governments. In the UK there is not much difference between the parties now because they are all more conservative, greedy and forgotten who they represent. They have always looked after themselves and left the poor to cope because they think it is a life choice and so they deserve it, which any clear thinking person should know is not usually true. With the loss of wealth or even basic living standards comes a lack of confidence that destroys you. On top of that you have the rich conservatives calling them lazy and making their situation 10 times worse.
Our last Conservative Government leader, Margaret Thatcher, axed free milk for children in schools, stopped the minimum wage, which started exploitation from the employers and sold all of our assets such as cheaper council housing. Now if you cannot buy a house then you need to pay as much rent as a weeks wage for some people to greedy rich land and property owners made rich from the poor and their predicament. Anyone with money will usually vote conservative knowing they can make even more money with the policies they have. They ensure it by axing anything that can improve the lives of people such as adult education.
You have a two party system in the US but we have more. Our present Government is Labour, who have now forgotten but are supposed to look after the working force to achieve fairness and equality. We have the Liberal party but they are third in the running. Although Labour have adopted Conservative policies they put money into free courses for adults 10 years ago (but that has stopped due to wasting it on free education for the 16-19 year olds who couldn't or wouldn't get their qualifications at school). I know you are young so I hope you don't mind me saying that if your age group don't learn at school then they should get a job and go back when they are are older and appreciate it and not straight after wasting what they had. I got my first qualification aged 39 years thanks to our free funding. With qualifications I had a choice, got more and became a tutor. Now I can pay my way without any help. I left school thinking I would have a family and get a job later without any qualifications but everything changed and no one cares now as long as you have a qualification (the result of ten years of a Conservative Government, unfortunately). Sorry, I will shut up now because this is only my opinion and I could write a book on it if I don't stop now. (more) -

I think the law is only in place to prevent and punish those who don't care how they treat other people or abuse other peoples rights or make life dangerous for other people. I also believe that people who don't seem to pay the price of their abuse and injustice in this life will pay in the next. I suppose being morally right is not much different to fearing the consequences now that I have read what I have written. LOL (more)
