It is also a waste of good cars that just need a little TLC to make them run like new.

I suppose you'd say I'm "cautiously hopeful", but I believe I understand where your concerns come from. I'm a Libertarian-leaning Liberal, myself, and it was Bush's violations of civil liberties that upset me most about him. I hope Obama can repair those Bush damages without doing more of his own. I AM happy that I (probably) don't have to worry about being wiretapped, email-scanned, or kidnapped and tortured any more!
