The people who give the greatest service in making society better like teachers, doctors, nurses, therapists etc get the lowest salaries and the lowest recognition. But they do not mind because they chose those professions. I still do not understand why athletes and movie stars get paid so much. It is such a disparity. I think the idolization of sports heroes creates this egotism. yeah, Michael might need to see someone about those harbored resentments. (more)

This is also unfair to the president because people claim he knew about this for months which I knew was not true. Thanks for your evidence-based posting. I think they should all review Kennedy's proposition: "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country." We should all be conscientious about what is going on. There should be a concerted effort from the White House, Wall Street and main street to curtail excessive spending and bonuses while efforts are being made to remedy the economy. Society wants to blame the poor for being poor without seeing how the -isms integrated in the institutions and systems propagate this poverty. It is so unfortunate that many of the children born into this environment have to struggle just to be children and just to complete school. My heart bleeds when I read things like this.
