I'm 50, female and short. I love my husband of 29 yrs. and my children. I love and really enjoy my granddaughter. Jesus Christ is the abiding passion in my life. I'm working on certification in ASL as RID and NRID

Oh, most anyone is interesting, if they'll start talking 'bout their life. So many times people think, well, I've led a fairly normal life, and then say things like "When I was in Bergen-Belsen" (yeah, met a guy like that, NOT normal) and even normal is neat.
Specifically, Tolkein, C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling.

Church, some volunteering,

I enjoy helping others in various ways. I enjoy learning almost anything. ASL is one of my favorite interests, along with reading. Walking, playing with the dogs, watching the birds at our feeders. People in general

Like a little of most types of music. Love instrumentals of all types. Enjoy bluegrass instrumentals, Southern Gospel, Contemporary Chrisitan, classical, calypso!! and kids just having fun with instruments and singing.

  • My God! How BIG is this crawdad that it scares your puppy? It must be HUGE! The 1s that I dissected in h.s. were big enough to fit in the palm of your hand, but this sounds like its as big as a human forearm! Poor Pupperroo!

    As for the d-bag, I thank you. I learned a little about Chairman Mao in school, but not enough to be an authority on it. If you'll read my questions on my profile, I set 1 up in JC & Morris' honor. Since they blocked me who cares if the do or don't see it, but I just did it to let the world know that they're assholes. I've lived my life by a certain rule, don't get mad, get even (but make sure it's w/in limits so that no1 gets seriously hurt... which is about right... the only thing that will get hurt here is there pride... & that's enough for me!).

    Back to the crawdad, what are you going to do w/ him? Keep him as an actual pet or cook him? I've heard that crawdads are for eating but I have no idea what they taste like. If you have crawdads near by then you must be from down South like Louisiana?

  • I can't reply to you because I blocked the douchebag who posted the question & his little butt-buddy named Morris. They seem to think that they are "holier than thou" just because I really don't know that much about Mao Tse Tung. I always believed that it is better to admit that you don't know something than to pretend that you do. But try convincing those nimrods that. My mother always says that, "You learn something new everyday." Obviously, these 2 believe in their hearts that they are "know it all's". Those are the 1s who are bound to get "showed up" & made to look foolish the most in the end. Oh well...

    Anywho, about the crawdad, I have never known any1 who owned 1 before. To me, the only time I have ever come across a crawdad (or crayfish) is during Jr. year biology class when I had to dissect 1. I've heard that they are also good for eating but not much else. I'm so sorry that it scares your puppy. How about Pest Control? Can they get rid of it for you?

Therefore, I don't even completely agree with everything anyone else teaches. I can work with, to some degree follow and act with, for the unity of the body. But I will NOT lie about my beliefs. I told my present pastor that, and let him know some areas where I didn't agree with him. My respect for the man went up several notches, when he still asked me to teach Sunday School (saying I didn't have to use the denomination books) help with the youth, and be a group leader.
    I agree with some denominations on some things. I do agree that the church began by baptizing by immersion, in the name of Jesus Christ. Using the formula of 'Father, Son and Holy Ghost' didn't come in until more than 300 yrs later. And sprinkling even later.
    I agree that once you are a son of God, you are His son always. However, I also think that you can wander from Him, die while wandering and be lost to Him, forever. Whether in hell, or some sort of limbo, I am not sure. The Bible talks of 'outer darkness' so maybe that's the place.
    I know that forgiveness and remission of sins are two different, tho inter related happenings. Sins are forgiven the second we are truly repentant. Sins are remitted (i.e. paid for) when we are baptized in Jesus Name. When that name is applied to your soul in baptism, the spirit world sees complete payment made for your sins.     (more)

We all need to pray, but I have heard some people say they don't know how to pray, and reading a prayer, then repeating it is a good way to learn. After all, David wrote many of his prayers out (many of the Psalms are prayers) and many Jews repeat these as personal prayers. The Bible doesn't condemn repetition, but vain repetition, or mindless repetition. When you have memorized something to the point that you can repeat it without thinking of what it means, or have any focus yourself, then it becomes 'vain repetition' and NOT a prayer.
    So, repeat these prayers if you want, then 'tweak' them individually as you pray, to keep your focus.     (more)

Ever since the federal reserve being set up, there have been politicians who have desparately tried to manipulate things so as to bring all banks under the control of the federal govt. I hardly think they'd appreciate receiving it for the 4th time. But the students are a captive audience! They don't have a choice.
    No, really, I try to keep in interesting, as I find Jesus to be endlessly fascinating and wonderful. I do have to say, that when a minister seems to be making God and finding out about Him, boring, it tends to anger me. How in the world can you make GOD boring? But some of them manage. So I try to make sure I see to it that I keep things relevant to lives today, and interesting.     (more)

Nothing can convince her that people who are texting are as 'disabled' as drunks while driving. However, I am not the officer in charge of investigating the case, and I don't know what I might think would help get a line on some suspects. I do feel sorry for the family member whose scared, troubled, screaming voice is now public property. I sure wouldn't want my voice out there so quickly. I'd probably NEVER want my voice out there, but if such did happen, I would pray for a time to heal before the release of that tape. (more)

    +2 raves JRR Tolkiens' The Lord of the Ring. I still use some of the examples for explaining some of t... JRR Tolkiens' The Lord of the Ring. I still use some of the examples for explaining some of the verses in the Bible. He wrote long, complicated, twisty sentences that are supposed to kill a story line, and made 'em work. His plots are complicated and intertwined. His story lines need lots of attention, or you'll get lost amongst the characters. The symbolism is vast, deep and often subtle, but there for all the subtlety. I just love his style. (more)
