About Me

Am interested in many things, knowlege of such. Travelled world wide and became an international and gourmet cook by necessity, not desiring goat or camel in the diet. Am a Veteran and a sharpshooter, military nurse while in Navy. What else? Alot!

Enjoy people of interest and deplore a womanizer, ...I am an equal and always have been. Well schooled and require respect. Have many interests, art, writing, music and the like. Something I fear the society is losing rapidly for shame. Have always been active in sports, especially water type. Have many irons in the fire as far as activities and hobbies. Also am a writer.

Swimming, scuba, sailing, and tending an herb garden ... cleaning house too, why doesn't that ever come up? Garbage drops to the curb and lawn and all???

Cooking, equestrianship, dogs and just about anything legal, don't mess with me as far as nonsense. Never did nor wish to do drugs, seen enough of the outcome in my medical and police work, ...they should use bleach on the brain! So sad and so many now want it legal along with prostitution? Wrong way to go. Mexico is collapsing because of both problems and they've invaded the US with it??? wake up and smell coffee rather than cannibis.

Cassical, but I go overboard over IL DIVO, I Play piano and organ

Tru.. actual detictive and police work FOXNEWS ---I'd rather create than watch something that may duplicate

Gone with The Wind

The one I'm writing

" Beware.... The Tiger Lies Within"... (My own)

All of those that have faithfully served our Country, either Dead or Alive.

  • Thank you, Voyager. I am definitely a perfectionist. I agonize over the comments I make, then gnash my teeth when I see an error after sending it off. The editing process never ends for me.

  • That broom thing is funny - you can tell a lot about a person by his, or her, comments. I have noticed, over the years, that the 'truest' people tend to be the ones who are willing to publish a little self-deprication (sp?). People who gloat and admire themselves are the scumballs. Now, not that I'm all that important on SH; but, if you're really interested in my comments, check my profile for all postings. Or, look for posts by Coon Oakie, Lavendar, Against O, KJB, Fordy, Terry3G, Chow, Min Carter, Nora, ME, simmering frog, Dave, Kennedy, grizz, Alicia (fellow Brit), worried, ONE TERM and Swag - I write with them regularly. And, if you really want to get involved in some SH chatter, track down Firekitty and betz - they are my two best buddies; and, we all write to one another every day. Ted.

  • As we used to say, "Don't drag your anchor, come alongside. I was an enlisted aircrewman, and flew in A3 Skywarriors (My favorite), C54 (R5D) skymasters, C118 Skylifters, and P3 Orions. I was grounded from flying in 1980, but continued flying for another year due to 2 seperate quals called out for in the manmed (15-67 & 15-69). After that I went groundpounding for my last 6 years working on the A6 Intruder. I really didn't mind maintenance, but sure do miss the flying. I flew off the carrier Oriskany during the Viet Nam war, and came close a couple times to buying the farm. I enlisted in 1962, and retired in 1987. The funny part about it, was my last C.O. told me I would have made Cheif, but I wasn't political enough (signing off down aircraft so they could make a flight schedule). I told him I didn't join to be a politician, and that he was still sitting there alive, so he should really reflect upon what I told him. Every aircraft he climbed into that I worked on, got him home safely. I like adding the image of the A3 on a lot of my replies, as I loved that bird, and it was almost too big for the Essex class carriers that my Squadron flew off of, and it was a real rush on every cat and trap. This picture is an aircraft from my first seagoing outfit. Arent they beauties?

  • I'm glad to have you aboard. I see that you don't have much tolerance for womanizers - I truly understand - it's not a nice thing. However, I must warn you - I, too, am a writer (and, a writer of satire and sarcasm - so, don't be offended by any of my comments - I'm only trying to stir the pot, so to speak). If I was as bad as my "insults," I certainly couldn't have remained married to my high school sweetheart for 40+ years! Mostly, outside of the political thing (which I am rather passionate about), my comments are meant only to raise an eyebrows, not to indicate any standard by which I live! Heck, my real email address starts with misterdisney@ -------- so, surely I have, at least, one good character trait! Or, not, maybe! You can decide for yourself. Ted
