About Me

I live on the Texas/Mexican border. I feel more Mexican American at times than I do Anglo /American as I am a minority here. I was born and raised here and would not trade the culture of the people for anything. I love to travel in Mexico and all foreign countries. As well as the beautiful USA.

Hiking, gardening, reading , ceramics, playing with grandkids. I especially enjoy quiet evenings on the patio , watching the birds and catching up on the day with my husband. Playing with all of my " critters".

Cooking , reading, family, friends, gardening, traveling. My animals are definitely a huge interest. I have 5 dogs ( all foundlings) and one very old , sweet cat. :)

The Trinity by Leon Uris

Where God Ain't...

He was just a little boy,
On a week's first day.
Wandering home from Bible school,
And dawdling on the way.

He scuffed his shoes into the grass;
He even found a caterpillar.
He found a fluffy milkweed pod,
And blew out all the 'filler.'

A bird's nest in a tree overhead,
So wisely placed up so high.
Was just another wonder,
That caught his eager eye.

A neighbor watched his zig zag course,
And hailed him from the lawn;
Asked him where he'd been that day
And what was going on.

'I've been to Bible School ,'
He said and turned a piece of sod.
He picked up a wiggly worm replying,
'I've learned a lot about God.'

'M'm very fine way,' the neighbor said,
'for a boy to spend his time.'
'If you'll tell me where God is,
I'll give you a brand new dime.'

Quick as a flash the answer came!
Nor were his accents faint.
'I'll give you a dollar, Mister,
If you can tell me where God ain't.'

The way they rag on Fox is proof positive they want to be spoon fed only those things with which they agree. A little variety might make for some brain growth . (more)

The liberals are threatened by Beck. I find it humorous that they would spend so much time castigating Beck. He should feel honored. (more)

    I am especially interested in tort reform as well as enforcing cureent illegal alien laws.

    I live in a county in Texas which has the highest amount of frivilous lawsuits in the country. I also live on the Tex/Mex border where our hospital emergency rooms are flooded with illegal aliens who come across from Mexico on a daily basis. They bring their children with sniffles and bruises and plug the service for those with more critical needs. We are paying for this now. Something needs to be done. Adding more taxes for these services is simply asinine. I am afraid that Obama has his head up his posterior. What more could we expect from a group of people who have never run a business in their lives?

They are going too far with their bully tatics and threats. Why not spend their precious time working on ways to stamp out crime and gangs in our schools rather than concentrating on stomping on others first amendment rights? (more)
