About Me
Raised in a born-again Christian home I learned as a late teen/young adult that we are of Jewish background which explained to me why I act and think the way I do. I love the Jewish ways but cling to my faith in G-d as I know/have known Him. It's an interesting mix. I tend to be very middle eastern.
I am married but single, have one divorced daughter living elsewhere. My four cats and one canine keep me quite busy when I am not working. A former teacher, I now work part time at a health food store and love it. I also volunteer at a community clothing and home goods closet.

I'd like to meet
people in general but especially those with whom I could converse in french or work on learning Yiddish or Hebrew in some way. My friends don't have to agree with me just not argue and insist theirs is the only way. I hope I don't come off that way so please tell me if I do. I like to add friends to watch each others backs. If you're looking for me to be a friend to rave you, know that I only rave clean comments that I agree with or are especially well said. No foul language.
Activities
Besides faith activities, I enjoy working, photography, and just resting. I love a nice long warm(hot) bath to relax while listening to Christian radio.
Interests
Besides church/messianic synagogue type activites, I enjoy very much doing photography and when I have the energy am reclaiming and redecorating my home. I like doing snuggling with my critters and doing things with my roommate.
Favorite Music
Christian and Messianic including Paul Wilbur, Jonathan Settel, and even Aviad Cohen. I'm getting back to classical after a sad experience with classical but still cry too much when I hear 40's and 50's love songs so I don' turn it on. I like Klezmer and classic Middle Eastern music.
Favorite TV Shows
The Apprentice, The Biggest Loser, The Gary Moore Show, The Wind at My Back, Family Affair, tired of Andy Griffith ... I like my programs to be clean clean clean
Favorite Movies
Clean clean clean please and no violence for violence's sake, no foul language, and no sex. Holocaust movies such as the Boy in Striped Pajamas. I enjoy movies in french with captions so I can keep up with my french but again clean clean clean
Favorite Books
books by Bodie Thoene such as Zion Covenant Series, The Russians series by Judith Pella, books about Amish life, and current working on the last book in the (science fiction) Earth's children series by Jean M Auel. I don't like heavy reading.
