About Me

I am a housewife and love it. I also do quite a bit of volunteering and am currently working through Read for Literacy to teach adults to read.
My husband and I have one daughter. She is a high school
French teacher and is the light of our life. She has married the man of her dreams and we couldn't be happier for her or us.

I am a no-nonsense conservative who believes in less government, lower taxes and a control on spending. I am very saddened by the fact that my daughter and future grandchildren will be strapped with such unsurmountable debt. It is a travesty to say the least. I like to think of myself as a tolerant person who understands we all have different views. As long as someone does not resort to name calling, vulgarity or threats I welcome your views. While I may not agree I will make every attempt to be repsectful.

Activities

Volunteering and going on antique hunts. Someday my friend Sissy will be joining me for an afternoon of digging through treasures. lol My husband and I enjoy golfing together. He's a little better than I am.

Interests

I love reading and volunteering. I am a big fan of snow. I love the wind, snow, sleet and just the sheer beauty of the season. I've even been known, at 60, to build a beautiful snowman. You can have your hot and humid summers as that's one season I cannot tolerate.

Favorite Music

Anything from Broadway! Motown music is another one of my passions. I met smokey Robinson years ago. What a great man. :)

Favorite TV Shows

Suits, 48 Hour Mystery, Antiques Roadshow, Revenge, Last Man Standing and The Middle. Dang how I love that Brick.
How could I forget....... my husband and I are hooked on the new
Hawaii Five-O! Fox and Friends is my morning cup of coffee.

Favorite Movies

Patton, any Clint Eastwood movie, and movies from the 50's. (Back before Jane Fonda provided Hollywood with the political soapbox on which they're now perched.)

Favorite Books

All the Best People by Sloan Wilson, Ann Rule books (I love true crime) autobiographies and biographies.
