About Me

I have to say that I've been so touched by the outpouring of sympathy from Mom's friends on SH. I want to express my gratitude to all of you and also to let you know that you made her last days brighter.

My niece and I are taking over this profile since Mom's passing at the request of some of her SH friends. I will be returning to Iraq in about a week so won't be in contact much until the end of summer. I will try to access when I have a chance but am slated to return home from deployment in August so I will definitely be back then. Thank you all so much for your condolences and prayers.

I am Anne-Proud Army Mom & Granny's daughter, Veronica. I know that Mom enjoyed this site every day and spent a lot of time with you guys. Many of you know that she had been ill with pneumonia and I am sad that I must tell you that Mom passed away February 18, 2009. She has finally been reunited with her four sons that she missed so much. She was the best Mom, Granny, & Grandma that anyone could ask for and she will be greatly missed.
