About Me

If you have to know, my name is Julia. I'm 21 years old and I love writing stories. I hope to become a published author one day but that's not the only thing I love doing. I like to sing even though I'm not that good at it. I love reading as well. My favourite authors include Stephen King, Heather Brewer, and Laurell K. Hamilton and on the rare occasion, Peter Straub. When it comes to tv shows and movies, my favourite genre to watch is horror, thriller and suspense. I don't know why but I'm all about the gore and torture. I've also got this unhealthy obsession with crime shows and shows about serial killers. Things like that just interest me so much. For my music obsession, my favourite genres consist of rap, rock, hard rock, metal, screamo, pop, and a few solo artists. Anyway, I suppose that's all there is to know about me. If you want to know more or just want to talk, hit me up. I'm always around.

"Spike's not in the S.S., he just likes wearing the jacket."

"My soul is wrapped in harsh repose, midnight descends in raven-colored clothes, but soft… behold! A sunlight beam cutting of swath and glimmering gleam, my heart expands, 'tis grown a bulge in it, inspired by your beauty effulgent." -William Pratt

"The only thing missing was a rack and a black-hooded torturer, one with big, beefy arms and a tattoo that said 'I love Mom.' Yeah, that would have made it perfect." -Anita Blake
"Great, Anita, antagonize him. Imply that his equipment is a little undersized." -Anita Blake
"Everyone has their weaknesses. Some people smoke. I collect stuffed penguins. If you won't tell, I won't." -Anita Blake
"If you keep a gun in your purse, you get killed, because no woman can find anything in her purse in under twelve minutes. It's a rule. -Anita Blake
"My style is rare, I got that red dyed hair, So fly, everywhere I go people stare, Highlights red like blood, Got them nice fitted jeans to make my nuts feel good." -Roddy Cardenas
"I believe that in order to walk through grief, fear, loneliness, despair, confusion and anger without recourse to drugs, alcohol, over-eating, over-sexing, or the endless mind numbing distractions provided by western culture one must become a spiritual warrior. I further believe that the pay off for enduring suffering, for soberly embracing the inevitable bouts of emotional pain that life brings is wisdom and serenity in the face of calamity. But make no mistake here, the path of the warrior is treacherous and cannot be walked alone. To survive, he must have brothers and sisters in arms to carry him when he buckles. When we lived and died in small tribes, this principle of mutually supporting one another through the trials of life was deeply woven into the fabric of the group mind. With the advent of towns and cities we were forced to live with the daily dilemma of being desperately alone and yet desperately needing one another. Which is why we are, by design, always seeking new tribes. With that in mind, I humbly offer a puzzling paradox to figure out how to be alone but be with someone at the same time. That answer is to text and vent to me. Because I love and care for you and your health." -Nick Robinson
"Sometimes I need my own reminders that I thrive on being busy in both my professional and personal life, and that even I am allowed to choke, and have moments of doubt. The trick is to remember when I'm at my lowest emotionally and mentally, that's it's a type of crazy-making. The darkest mood is never the truth, it's just a moment. Hold tight; it will pass. Sanity returns, the burden lifts, and you realize that darkness is visited, not lived in." -Laurell K. Hamilton
"Some days begin not with a whimper, but a realization like a lightning strike. It illuminates everything, chasing back the shadows in one harsh, white, flash, and you can't unsee what you've seen. You can't pretend that the old wound isn't still there. What you didn't realize was that you're still losing blood. I hate it when the scab gets torn off; hate it more when my own emotions tear at it." -Laurell K. Hamilton

"Well it certainly appears that way, doesn't it? But then again appearances can be deceiving can't they and you practically made it an art form. Understand something. Every time I smile at you across the room, or we run into each other at a luncheon or I welcome you into my home, let that smile be a reminder just how much I despise you. And that every time I hug you, the warmth you feel is my hatred burning through." -Victoria Grayson (Revenge)

"See, there's the problem. That's the problem with letting people close to you, you know? They figure out just what to say that hurts you the most. Love is nothing but giving the other person a better weapon." -Todd Manning

"And so the princess kissed the frog and do you know what happened? No guesses? Nothing! Absolutely nothing. Zip. The prince stayed a frog, you know why? Because he liked being green, and ugly, and slimy and he could sit around the lake all day on his lily pad and eat flies and croak at the moon. And you know what happened to the princess? She went back to the castle, right, and she married this, like, dweeby, nerdy, accountant poet and she got really, really ugly and she lost all her looks and she… she had so much really bad plastic surgery that she was so ugly that not even the frog would kiss her. The end!

This is the queen, the wheel, the little guy, the gold, the baby, blah, blah, blah, blah. How about I tell you the REAL story of Rumplstiltskin. You wanna know what really happened? So they took the judge, and the royal judge said, "This baby belongs to Rumplstiltskin, hand her over," and so the whiney, selfish, nagging queen had to give the baby over to Ruplstiltskin and do you know what happened then? Do you? Do you have any idea? They lived happily ever after, the baby and Ruplstiltskin, forever and ever. What do you think of that?

Why don't I tell you about The Ugly Duckling, would you like that, huh? Once there was a duck that was so scuzzy and ugly that none of the other ducks wanted to play with him but what nobody knew was that really he was a…. he was a rich, smart, incredibly good-looking newspaper publisher. So one day, the ugly duckling decided that he wanted to get back to all the other ducks who had ever been mean to him. So you know what he did? He bought the whole damn pond." -Todd Manning

I pretty much grew up listening to Punk in my Jr. and High School years
