I feel sin is wrong because Sin Is Wrong ! It is selfish rebellion in the face of the God of creation. The Bible is replete with law. It won't take you long to find it. Jesus is replete with grace. Seek him with all your heart. God bless... -

Whats the difference between christianity and cults?
I am Christian and I have had some contact with Christian like cults. A cult exists when essential doctrine is twisted so that major components of the faith are made void, or other. Inside of Christianity there has been an understanding among the denominations that sounds a bit like this: 'In non-essentials liberty; in essentials unity'. - Jesus matters. God bless... -

I was reading in 'The Apologetics Study Bible' last night. It contains a breif article titled 'Is God Male'. I also answered a young lady's question on another site recently asking if men and women sould equally share house cleaning and cooking tasks. Life is occasionally pretty funny. - In a nutshell, the article said that God's consistant male identity throughout the Bible makes it possible for the genders of his creation to understand appropriate gender roles. I told the young lady that I am a single male and that she should come look at my house before formulating a conclusion. -
Why Do Atheists Fear Christianity?
I don't know that it's fear. I do think that there are 'circles of influence' (ie, schools, art venues, gvt.agencies) where the unspoken agenda can be propegated that Christianity needs to be 'gotten out of the way' for the advancement of the social order. Scholars like Dawkins and Hitchens make a pretty good living supporting this sort of thing. It can also be a reletively easy / mindless way to elevate a personal sense of mastery. - God bless... -
Mormons are not stupid?
...But it does not make good sense. If it did Mormons would not be Strictly Instructed and Warned by Their Own spiritual leadership not to read 'Anti-Mormon' materials or to think individually outside of the box. Jobs, spouses, famlies and more have been Frequently and Permenantly lost / irrevocably split up for this very reason. - Like Islam, leaving the fold is unacceptable heresy within the Momon cult. Im not a christan....but this is a christan question....If god is a all knowing being then and if he was real and he did put me on earth...then wouldnt he know that i dont believe in him and that i was doomed from the start. so wats the point..

I have heard both methods espoused for good reasons. I don't know Roman parctice at the time and so don't know the answer with certainty. The Bible says 'hand' rather than arm so I prefer that understanding. - I've also heard that the cross was no larger than necssary to elevate the body. Less of a display and more of a nearly eye level device. I think on that sometimes. - Thank you Jesus. God bless...
