It makes me wonder if your mother favors my daughter or not. Do you look like your mother a lot?

I came to look at your page because of the pug picture. I help my ex raise pugs. But, I was shocked to see that you are almost a dead ringer for my oldest granddaughter. She is 26 now. IThis a picture of her and her brother when she was still in highschool. What do you think?

Growth is always hard, and often hurts. That is why the years when we transition from kid to adult are always the hardest and often most angst and hurt-filled--because that is normally the most growth we ever do in our lives. The other end of it is really great--a life full of promise, free to discern what God is calling you to in life. (It's not a dictatorial thing. God knows us better than we know ourselves, and He only calls us to what is best for us. Besides--what God is calling us to is usually the thing we have the most talent and desire for, so that's NOT a bad thing any way you slice it!)
The alternative to growth is only decay--there is no staying the same. Even so--the growth is always MORE THAN worth it.
I know people always tell you this (because they told ME when I was going through the same stage--and my usual thought was, "yeah, RIGHT!") but just enjoy this time of your life. While it may be the hardest time in your life, there is also a GREAT deal of fun and rewarding times along the way, too. However, it only comes once in your life, so be sure to savor it--and have a sense of humor about anything that may be less than you'd hoped for. Especially use this time to learn to laugh at yourself. That is a skill that will prevent you from developing numerous ills in life! Besides, if you can laugh at yourself, no one can laugh AT you--they'll always be laughing WITH you. ;)
Reading some of your ideas, you sound like you have your head screwed on straight to me! Just hang in there and persevere. The learning process of coming into your own is tough at times but very rewarding. Furthermore, it is YOUR process. No one else's will be just like it. (...the good AND the bad) Just keep your feet grounded on Truth and the rest WILL be worthwhile.
