  Wow, had not heard of that. I know about onions, but this homemade receipe called for a sprinkle of garlic. Interesting, It was on a dog care page. I don't have a dog now, but I believe you. Just an aquarium, which grandson loves. Hope you had a good day too. I have read that garlic is like an anitibiotic for people, so it makes sense it would kill white blood cells in dogs. So, how do those poor feral dogs survive? I am sure they eat anything to stay alive? Going to bed now. It's been a long day for me, cleaning up after yesterday. lol Take care, Judy

  Merry Christmas , day! My Christmas, is Christmas Eve. I made a big spread, feast, as was handed down by my European family. The more food the better. All home made. I am a little tired this morning. I had my little family over yesterday eve. They loved all the food, esp. my son-in-law! He packed up so much of the food to take back home with him. She made a comment, how much food he was taking and the sweets. Half of the red velvet cake, I made and decorate with a Chistmas tree, and I decorate it with little sprinkles. I think it is fun. Others say, TOO MUCH WORK. My daughter is NOT like her mother that way; she is a liberal and liberated woman. My little grandson, just enjoyed all the sweets; he has SUCH a sweet tooth. Good to hear you will be with your family today. Then the New Years eve, and we deal with obamacare and all of those taxes. lol
  Good to hear, what kind of food, you give your dogs. I love animals. They are so sweet and innocent and fun. I could tell, they were much loved and well taken care of, by that picture you sent. My dog loved to share an apple with me. I would take a little bite and give it to her. Then she would masticate it, till all the juice was out. It was fun watching her little mouth do that. She did this with her little paw on my arm, and she would PULL real hard in her direction for the apple bite! lol So much fun. I miss her. I even made homemade dog biscuit's for her. Cornmeal, garlic,,can't remember the rest, but she liked it. Then I make homemade beef jerky. She loved a little of that. All real meat. When I had the dehydrater on in the garage over night, the house would fill will the smell, and it drove her nuts. She would keep telling, me, "in the garage', in the garage'. I speak dog..lol
  Oh, When it gets hot? Real hot here in Vegas, I fixed some treats for my daughters dogs. You save the juice from a water packed tuna can; add more water, and then freeze. It makes a good little popsicle for the dogs to cool off in the hot weather. One warning. It does smell, after it melts, but the dogs love it outside. Enjoy your day today. I will be alone, but that is not so bad. I have all my leftovers to eat. lol My family is going over to her dad's today. That is what divorce does. Did not know that. He was physically, verbally abusive and had affairs on me, now, my daughter thinks she needs to be friends with her dad, even that he beat HER up too. Go figure.   Hi, just a quick, Merry Christmas. This has to be a bitter- sweet time for you.
  What treats, have you bought for your dogs? One of those big bones? I like to buy, the real thing. Those ,chewy make believe things, are just as bad for them.....I think. My dog choked on one of those and almost died from it. It blocked her windpipe. She went limp, my friend took her outside to get some tool, as our fingers were too short. Finaly got it out. She bit him, but It was just a reflex, I think. Take care, Judy

  Hi, I see your dogs are well loved and they listen to you well, too. Aren't they precious? Just like having a two year old human kid around, all the time. lol I had a little dog, ShiTzu, and when my son was taking pictures of some of us, when my son said, Ok ready? The little "panda bear", would run over and put HERSELF in the picture and lean sideways into the frame. No one, taught her that. My son, said, if I didn't see it with my own eyes, I wouldn't believe it. Her attitude was, 'got to love me'. She made me laugh, every day! I miss her a lot, but have not gotten another dog. Hurts too much.
  Now, that does not compare to what you have gone through, I can see you are still, in a lot of pain from losing your wife. Down to the 9 months calculations. I would bet, it does NOT feel that long, to you. So sorry again. I hope she did not suffer?
  My mom pasted away, while they did exploratory surgery on her, which, she did not want! But, I keep telling my dad, it was quick for her, no lingering. That was 8 years ago. Seems like just, the other day..... Dec. 14 th was her birthday. Dad still goes to her site every week, and on special occasions. Valentines day, their anniversary, her birthday, Christmas. They were married over 60 years. Don't mean to go about this, but, I do understand. Take care, I enjoy your posts. I forgot, Can you tell me again, what Semper FI means?
