About Me
Due to a few recent messages directed personally towards me I feel the need to put this:
I AM NOT INTERESTED IN DATING OR A ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIP!
Therefore, guys, please do not ask me if I would be your girlfriend. I have no interests in dating or romantic relationships. Even if I were, I would still answer "No," for I am not into online dating or romantic relationships.
(Ladies: Feel free to copy this onto your profile and make any necessary changes)
My name is Andrea [(Spanish pronunciation.) My full name shall not be posted online for both personal and future professional reasons.] I am a Conservative from the San Francisco Bay Area (How ironic. >.>), but I have been accused of being Liberal or Progressive mainly because of my beliefs about LGBTQIA issues such as gay marriage.
For those of you interested, my political beliefs go something like this.
1. I am PRO-death penalty. I believe that the death penalty is a fair and just form of punishment for crimes such as murder, rape, etc.
2. I consider myself Pro-Life, and will never support the use of abortion as a form of birth control. However, I can understand why a mother would choose to abort her unborn child because of something such as rape (including FORCED incest) (I STRONGLY prefer that the mother considers giving the baby up to ADOPTION though) or because the pregnancy poses a serious threat to her health or life. I find it sickening when people refer to the relationship between a mother and her unborn child as parasitical. Pregnancy is NOT parasitical. http://science.yourdictionary...
If anything it would be most likely be commensalist or possibly even symbiotic. (Look these up if you don't know what they mean.) Something else I find just as disgusting, if not more is partial-birth abortion. In my opinion it is murder no matter which way one tries to look at it.
3. I oppose illegal immigration, affirmative action, and long term welfare. People should be getting jobs and into college because of their qualities, not just because of their gender, skin color, or ethnicity. Short-term welfare is fine but there must be restrictions on what it is used for, and should be accompanied with helping welfare recipients (who should be citizens or legal residents) find jobs. Yes, that does mean I believe welfare recipients should be drug-tested. This has nothing to do with hating the poor. It's about making sure that taxpayer dollars used for welfare will go to people who will actually use them to buy necessary things like food and clothing.
5. I believe Marxism is good in THEORY, but I do not support it in real life for history has proven again and again that Marxism does not work, especially not in a society like the United States of America.
6. My personal definition of marriage is a trustful, respectful, and loving eternal bond between one man and one woman. However, I am not opposed with granting CIVIL "marriage" to monogamous homosexual couples . I only ask that religious institutions are not forced to perform or sanctify marriages that go against their values and that all couples who wish for legal recognition and rights under American Civil law must fit the following criteria: Both, 1. Must be human 2. Must be at the age of legal consent or older 3. Must not be a direct blood relative 4. Must be ALIVE.
7. I believe war should be used as a last resort, but will support the troops, and I believe there are times when there is no choice but to go to war.
8. I am AGAINST gun control.
9. I believe strongly in the First Amendment.
10. I believe in a flat tax rate, that Capitalism is a good, if not the best form of economy for the United States, and that government should keep their noses out of both small and big businesses.
11. I support drilling for oil in the United States and developing renewable energy. Look, I love nature and think its sacred and everything, but let's face it. Renewable energy doesn't seem to be working on its own, and we can't keep depending on other countries for oil, especially not countries that hate us.
12. I do not believe that the majority of climate change is man made, but do believe it is important to keep our planet green. (In order words throw your trash in the trashcan.)
13. I am against the laws mandating that tax payers pay for contraceptives.
My Religious beliefs: (You don't have to agree with any of them. I won't bash you for your religious beliefs as long as you don't bash mine. Please also note that I'm using God in a generic sense.)
1.God is both male and female and yet completely genderless. S/he also has various names and forms depending on the religious beliefs of an individual.
2. Jesus Christ was real person, a Holy man, whose mission was to help humanity become closer to God. I find the idea of whether or not Christ was part a trinity to be irrelevant for the most part; I care more about his teachings of loving and helping one another more important.
3. I think many prophets, besides the ones mentioned in the Bible, were sent to various nations to help people become closer to God.
4. The Bible may have been divinely inspired but I doubt that current one we have is perfect. Whether intentionally or not, people are going to mistranslate things, add or take out certain things, etc. I do not in believe the Bible in a literal sense, nor do I believe that the stories in the Bible are necessarily true. I believe some of these stories may be based on or inspired by some actual historical events but that they are largely myths and fables meant to be taken symbolically and metaphorically.
5. I think spiritual truth can be found almost anywhere, whether it be through reading sacred texts, meditating, burning incense etc.
6. I do not believe in the concept of Hell as a place of eternal torture. I believe that the idea of a place of eternal torture goes against a loving, merciful God. Right now I believe that most people go through a series of reincarnations in which they learn different lessons and depending how they lived their lives will either go to some form of paradise when the world ends or face eternal death.
7. God is all around us. S/he can be found in our everyday live and in nature if we seek him/her. God is not just up in some random cloud completely away from humanity. S/he speaks to all of us, through sacred texts, songs, nature, dreams, etc. but we must be willing to listen. God also cares for humanity and and life as a whole, but not in a way that we may recognize.
8. I reject the idea that humans are born sinful. I believe that we are born pure, and that it is our
actions that cause the so called "original sin" to corrupt us.
9. I couldn't care less about the concept of a true religion. I think most religions worship God in some way but give him/her different names, appearances, etc. In the end S/he will judge everyone and if s/he cares more about to what religion people belonged rather than how they behaved and treated humans and other life forms than that would be a God that I have no interest in worshiping/revering.
10. I believe that nature and the cycles of the seasons are sacred. I feel the most spiritually connected when I'm either singing or out in nature, especially among trees
11. God made the universe and everything in it over the course of millions of years using scientific laws and what not and is the force behind evolution. I do not believe that s/he literally created everything in seven days.
Other:
1. I am not Goth, but I greatly appreciate and adore the Gothic subculture.
2. I am bilingual. My first language is Spanish. However my English is much better and more fluent than my Spanish due to growing up in an English speaking neighborhood, attending school with mostly white classmates, and having only one person (my mother) speaking to me in Spanish on a daily basis. I can understand normal Latin Spanish fairly well, read it at about a middle school level, write in it at about the level of of second or third grader, and speak it well enough to be able to communicate somewhat with my relatives who only speak Spanish. However, I do not understand slang or figurative speech, and sometimes have an awkward time with my pronunciation.
3. I would like to learn many languages, including Latin and all the major romantic languages.
4. I have a communicative disorder known as cluttering (also called tachyphemia), a lisp, mild social anxiety, and mild ADD.
Since cluttering is an uncommon communicative disorder and is often confused with stuttering I have provided links for people to learn what it is.

5. I love REAL Mexican food. It's my favorite kind. However, I hate the Americanized crap. It's greasy, and tastes like it came out of a garbage can. I also like foods from several other cultures, but my top would be Mexican, Chinese, Italian, Indian, Greek, Korean, and Cuban.
6. I am MEXICAN but many people have mistaken me for some type Arab, South Asian, or Mediterranean in real life, to put it short, Middle Eastern.
