Gitmo's Youngest Inmate: Terrorist or confused kid?
Omar Khadr is a terrorist
From what is detailed in the article, it looks to me like he's a terrorist. At 22, he's definitely not a kid, and if he truly killed a U.S. soldier, then he should be held accountable for the crime. Just about every mass murderer out there has been described as "quiet" or "a good kid" by those who thought they knew him, and people rarely suspected their dark side. Not only would freeing Khadr before his tribunal be an injustice, so is closing Gitmo. Obama really screwed this one up, and if the terrorists are freed on a legal technicality or just by virtue of closing the base, then he'll be responsible for many more deaths at the hands of these killers. -
Natalie Dylan auction - offers up to 3.7 million dollars!
She's crazy!
Sure, she's going to rake in the big bucks, but at what cost? According to one insider, "The highest bid, $3.8 Million is certainly to do a Deflowering Video... [in which a] phony doctor comes in to examine the virgin (probably with a closeup of the hymen) and a phony? boyfriend hold's his girl's head on his lap while the stud deflowers her." She'll be forever known as "the girl who sold her virginity to cheap pornographers." Who in their right minds would go to her for marriage counseling (her chosen course of study) after this? The money will soon be spent and she'll have blown (no pun intended) any chances at a real relationship or a career in counseling. -
Britney Spears: Classy Comeback or Trampy Trailer-Trash?
Poor girl. I miss the Mickey Mouse Club days.
Britney USED to have a promising future in the music business, back when she released her first album. But soon afterward, the people controlling her career led her into a life of virtual prostitution. They molded a sweet, innocent girl into a yound lady who brags that she's "not that innocent" anymore. If they hadn't made her up to look and act like a sl**, then she would have had a great future. No wonder she had her breakdowns! Even now as she makes her "comeback," she is is a slave to the industry and is selling herself in a very trashy way. It's a tragedy and I hope she can someday regain once and for all what was lost to her. -
Natalie Dylan... what think you?
It's terrible. She's wasting a once-in-a-lifetime experience on somebody she doesn't love.
FYI, there is a school of thought that, since the auction extends beyond her base where it's legal, this is prostitution in areas in which it is illegal... and therefore subject to possible prosecution. Either way, I think prostitution is a huge mistake for many reasons. -
What is your response to the porn interruption of Super Bowl XLIII?
It's a crime. Whoever did it should be fully prosecuted.
The evidence indicates that whoever did this did it intentionally. The fact that it was done during a time when millions of families with small children would be watching makes it all that more vile. The FCC needs to investigate this and prosecute those responsible to the fullest extent of the law, including jail time. And measures need to be taken to ensure that it doesn't happen again. Geez, and I thought Janet Jackson's "Nipplegate" five years ago was bad! -
Florida To Ban Skimpy Swimwear: Do you agree?
Yes. Families go to the beach. Ban over-revealing swimwear.
As much as I enjoy viewing the human body, there are times and places where it's appropriate. I think beaches should be segregated as such. There should be family-friendly beaches where revealing bathing suits are banned and other beaches where visitors are free to wear the bikini of their choice. -
What is the biggest political "outrage" of the year 2008?
Democratic Elections (Acorn, Blagojevich, C. Kennedy, Al Franken, etc.)
This is a tough one for me. They're all pretty outrageous, but my top choices were Obama's ties and the corrupt elections & appointments, simply due to the sheer extent of them. There were multiple terrorist ties and multiple examples of election scandals. Finally, I chose "elections", factoring that Obama tied into that category as well. -
Which of these criminals is the stupidest?
South Carolina: A man walked into a local police station, dropped a bag of cocaine on the counter...
Although the one about the police calling the cell phone to trick the car thief into trying to sell them the car was a hilarious stroke of genius on the part of the police, the guy who tried to have his drug dealer arrested has got to be the dumbest. Great poll, by the way. -
Woman Kills Virtual Husband & Arrested: Who's crazier?
The woman for hacking and killing her virtual husband.
The real crime wasn't that she killed off the virtual husband, but that she illegally accessed his computer data in order to commit a cyber-crime. Yes, she deserved to be arrested, not for murder as the headline hints, but for the cyber-crime... just as if she had hacked a stranger's computer to steal their credit card information. -
What would you do if you got a personal message on SH that said this?
Report him, he's probably really only 5 years old.
Get his ISP blocked so he can't logon to SodaHead anymore. -
Can Sarah Palin REALLY clear herself in the Troopergate scandal?
Yes
There is no scandal. Some psycho threatened to kill the family of the Governor of Alaska and the Governor rightfully took appropriate action... in fact, she should have done a h*** of a lot more. Fired, schmired. The guy should be in a federal penitentiary and the Governor should be Vice-President-elect.
