They make enough money to hire their own. They can also afford locks and security systems. Not to negate the tragedy, though, because I think it is terrible anytime one human shoots another. The human race has enough hardships to face. When it comes to life, we should stick together not kill each other. -

That's funny. Why is it a holiday again? Another good question is, "Why do people buy so many gifts for people who already have so much?" or "Why is "x-mas" acceptable, but 'Happy Holidays' isn't?" Jesus Christ is the supposed real reason for "Christ"mas, right? So why don't we give to the needy more, and stop asking "Santa" for presents that we do not need? I'm not claiming to be innocent. I know I'm getting gifts for Christmas, but wouldn't the world be a better place if we were just less selfish? You know what they say though..."Want things in one hand and spit in the other to see which one fills up first." Ok, so maybe that is just a weird southern saying, but the implication is that desire doesn't get results, action does. Happy Christmas!! -

For example, your poll needs editing. You wrote "worlds" instead of "world's." Parentheses weren't necessary, although your question could be more concise. When there is more than one subject, the verb is "are" instead of "is." Also, after the word "perfect," you should have a comma. As for your semi-gross example, ending a sentence in a preposition is wrong, with or without the commas. : P -

Do you like the rain?
Yes
It rains when I am very sad, and sometimes before something bad is going to happen. If I am angry and mad, it storms. The weather really does go with my mood quite frequently. I'm like a mutant or an anime character. Once it rains, though, I start to feel better. I have a strong connection with the earth. She takes care of me, I try to take care of her...it all works out. -

My kitties (if only one then I choose Yumi). Reading another human's mind seems to interfere a little too much with free will. If they have something to say, they'll say it. If they have something to hide, then do we really want to know about it anyway? What if we read something horrible, but we are helpless? Reading my pet's mind, I could better communicate, and display my love for her. -

Yes
I have several. So do you. Guardian angels do not belong to one person. I believe they are "protectors" of everyone. If you haven't been protected at a time you think you should have been, then you were meant to learn a very hard lesson, and the angels were instructed not to interfere. -

I'm straddling the fence on this one. I truly believe that every "free" U.S. citizen should have better options for healthcare, regardless of their income. However, I do know that it would mean sacrifices that we just don't need to make, and that lower pay for doctors and medical professionals equals lower standards and quality of healthcare. Sucks, but it's true. -

My mother is my valentine! Vegas is my mother's favorite place to go, but in my twenty seven years we've never taken a real vacation together. She used to travel because of her job, and lived in many states. She quit her job four years ago to take care of my grandmother who was taken by cancer two years ago. My mom now has a new career with vacation time, and we finally want to do a mother/daughter trip, and if we win any money, I will plan another trip to Africa with my friend Suzanne to assist with a charity program for children. Two dreams in one!! -

Enlightenment. I do believe there is God, but that our meanings are all different. We are here to better ourselves, and advanced to the next level of being. However, to do that, we must learn as much as possible while here on earth. What we have left to learn in this life varies from person to person, and I believe that if you do not learn it all, you are reincarnated to try again. -

The Beatles or the Rolling Stones?

Why do people always compare the two? If I have to choose, I choose the Beatles simply because of their revolutionary movement in music, and their influence in music and society as a whole. However, I love the Rolling Stones as well. The thing about both of these bands is that I can probably find an album or song to listen to from each no matter what mood I'm in. -

LOVE!! I LOVE THE BEATLES! The best, most influential, most amazing band! They actually offered a Beatles era course at the University of Alabama my senior year, and I learned more in that one class than all the others combined! Yes
Hardcore definitely has a varying list of artists. My examples would be Set Your Goals, Crime in Stereo. I do love As I lay Dying and It Dies Today but I generally categorize that as metal. Defining hardcore...that should be a poll. I'm more of a two-step hardcore with gang vocals gal!
