WTF??? My 9 yr old isnt allowed out of my site if he steps outside my door!
How in the hell did they get away with this without a parent looking for at least one of these kids???? damn....pisses me off! Prosecute the parents!

ACWORTH, Ga. --Three young boys are accused of kidnapping and raping an 11-year-old girl in the woods near a suburban Atlanta apartment complex.
The boys, ages 8 and 9, were being held Monday in the Cobb County Youth Detention Center.
The girl's mother reported the incident on Sunday, said Acworth police Capt. Wayne Dennard. He said the incident allegedly happened Thursday in an apartment in Acworth, a town about 30 miles northwest of Atlanta.
"The juvenile victim stated that an 8-year-old boy and two 9-year-old boys that she had been playing with earlier pulled her into a wooded area, where one of the boys raped her," Dennard said.
Calls to the Acworth Police Department were not immediately returned Monday morning.
Prosecutors said they have yet to decide whether to try the suspects as adults.
"That decision hasn't been made," said Kathy Watkins, a spokeswoman for the Cobb County District Attorney's office.

on a side note. I'd like to also say that the young girl in this case could be misleading people or telling lies as well. I haven't heard if they have done a rape kit on her or not. Which IMO would be the first thing they need to do to see if anything has happened.

It's tragic either way you look at it.
reading this I do believe they aren't the only ones that have something wrong.
where in the world those boys learn from? that so sad...will it rapid in future?
Next I firmly object to charging ANYONE under 18 as an adult, unless they are VERY close to 18, and it was a heinous crime.
Charging children as adults kind of defeats the purpose of having a separate justice system, regardless of the crime, and ESPECIALLY in a case where the offenders are so much younger than 18.
I would also like to know, as you stated, about a rape kit and some kind of verification outside the statement the little girl made. If it's true, it's very disturbing. If it's not true, still, very disturbing.

at best I blame the parents that let them watch the tv without supervision.
8 and 9 year olds still need supervision - their should have been SOMEBODY monitoring them. It's not SAFE to let them run amok.
I think the parents should be held partially resonsible. The boys also need to learn some responsibility - they'll be liable for their own actions eventually, and may as well learn that now.
If the girl is lying....well, I don't know how that should be dealt with....
I guess if the criminals are getting younger, it's time for me to teach my daughter how to throw a proper punch. Not like she'll need it for about 5 - 6 years, since she's never alone outside, but hey! Best to be prepared!
I mean if this did happen as the girl reported to her mother than some type of punishment should be levied against the boys because that will not stand but t try them as adults these D.A.'s need to get there heads on straight n get there act together n as for these boys well they deserve what ever they can give them considering the ages of these boys how much can u give them besides juvenile lock up.
