EMERGENCY ORDER REJECTED; CITY TURNS TO CLARENCE THOMAS
PHOENIX - The chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday rejected a bid by the city of Tombstone for an emergency order allowing it to immediately repair its damaged water supply in the Huachuca Mountains.
Without comment, John Roberts rebuffed the argument that the city is likely to suffer "irreparable damage" if it does not get to start work soon. Roberts did not explain his decision.
City officials said they were entitled to make the repairs necessary following the last year's Monument Fire without having to first get permits from the U.S. Forest Service.

Last year after wildfires Tombstone AZ had flooding that totally destroyed the towns water supply, as Tombstone was repairing the water system the US Forest Service stopped the work and told them they could only use HORSES, HAND SHOVELS & PICKAXES! Not even wheelbarrows were allowed because they are to mechanised. All this in an effort to "Save" spotted owls, a frog and a moth or butterfly.
