You can bet on this! If these two go against Obama, West Virginia will too!

The Best Reason to Vote Against Obama: Self-Defense
When a U.S. Senator and a sitting governor from your own party won’t say if they support the reelection bid of the incumbent president from their party, well, that’s a political party that is verging into Jimmy Carter territory. Democrat Governor Earl Ray Tomblin of West Virginia has announced that he isn’t sure that he will be supporting Barack Obama for reelection.

“Tomblin said in statement released by his campaign that he was a ‘loyal member of the Democratic Party’ but was concerned by fellow Democrat Obama's ‘misguided policies,” reports the Charleston Daily Mail.

This wasn’t an off the cuff remark, or a canned press release supporting National Candlemakers’ Day. Campaigns put a great deal of thought into even routine statements. They layer nuance on nuance until they get it right.

And when they say “misguided policies,” they are just being polite.

West Virginia’s newest Democrat Senator, Joe Manchin has been a little more direct about his distaste for Obama.

“If that means I have to break with my party to do what's best for the country,” wrote Manchin in an op-ed in the Gazette-Mail, “I will. If it means I take on a sitting president to protect West Virginia interests, I have and I will.” And it’s working great for the people of West Virginia, who Obama likely considers just Electoral College chump change who cling to their coal and their guns and their religion.

Self interest, as our Founding Fathers knew, is a great motive power that is harnessed into lots of other selfs: self-government, self-improvement and, when necessary, self-defense against the selfish who would put themselves above the country. The people of West Virginia have suffered enough under the policies of Obama! Manchin and Tomblin are highly thought of in this state. Where they go, West Virginia will follow!

Good for Joe Manchin. He is doing what he was elected to do. I applaud him.

Wonderful, that is great, Now if more states followed through with this type of idea and decision making on what is best for their state, then the republican party nominee will win this election by a landslide. That sounds great, and remarkable, because we need to vote thei Idiot in chief out of the White House.

May only be 5 electoral votes, but could very well be enough to swing the outcome away from oblunder. Unfortunately, there are those who think that this pseudo-president is wonderful, it's called being gullible, and that the rest of their lives is assured. Wrong. If oblunder is reelected this country will evolve into a socialist, third world country with NO freedoms left. Vote your brain, not just your ideology.

If West Virginia votes Obama, after his lying, letting them think he supported ALL energy- yet evidence showing he plans on regulating them SO strictly that they could not afford to stay open- a seemingly actual plan to choke off the coal industry with little regard as to how it would effect states relying on coal for their economies- if West Va votes for Obama, I WILL believe someone spiked their Koolaid.

It's always been about the policies, not the man who tops the ticket. His policies - and those of radicals and extremists he aligns and associates with - lead us where we do not wish to go. We're not abandoning him... he left us after inauguration / coronation day...
