WTO Wants To Replace “Made In USA” Labels With “Made In The World”?

~ The Rebel ~ 2012/06/12 14:57:32

The World Trade Organization is moving closer to eliminating country-of-origin labels and replacing them with “Made in the World” initiative labels because they say we need to “reduce public opposition to free trade” and “re-engineer global governance.”

An America that prides itself on independence and celebrates that independence every year on July 4 should want absolutely no part in allowing the advancement of global governance that aims to eliminate the one thing that allows American consumers to know from where the products they buy originate: The “Made in USA” label.

Screw the WTO. Where a product is made is useful information. Depending on the product, Germany usually ranks first in quality.

As one who reads labels and will reject anything made in China, this is horrendous for our country. We must resist this cheapening of our products. Remember the dog food fiasco and the lead toys for our children. Will the WTO be responsible for the death of our children by hiding where products are made? We will have to keep local and verify that our products come from around here.

Well of course all the products are made in the world. Where else would they be made? This is rediculous. We consumers have the right to know where the products we are buying (or not buying) are made. What would be the point in labeling at all if this goes through?

People need to share this and refuse to buy any item with this label.

A brilliant new way to cheat the consumer. You won't know if your clothes and food were contaminated by radiation.

WTH... Why put a label on it at all if that's the case?

I do think the ones carrying the label "Made in USA" should have to prove that they are!
