the issue here is that, for some reason, you believe that you 'think.'
THAT'S your first mistake.
your second mistake is believing whatever your masters at the DNC tell you.
your THIRD mistake is that you go out proselytizing that DNC rhetoric as if its correct.
WTF Is Wrong With Republicans?

Someone said they support the GOP because they like small government.
Can someone out here explain to me how the party that tries to control people's bodies, their religions, and everything about their lives, who built the Dept of Homeland Security, who insist on fighting impirialist wars, who insist on sticking their noses in women's Vjayjays, is the party of small government? Please? Make it make sense! Help me unite with my strange, but fellow Americans! Tell me how Republicans are not as stupid and immoral and disgusting and as pathetic as I think they are!

You WHINE because someone said they support the GOP because they are for small government. Yet you offer no proof that the GOP does not support that. All you do is WHINE!
NO Evidence + NO Proof + No Links of ANY KIND = NO Credibility!
Here are links showing the true differences between libs & cons ... minus YOUR Hate Mongering attitude. Please note I put in LIB & CON Links.

BTW these links PROVE that Republicans DO support Smaller Govt.
The main problem with Republicans is that they do not have enough Conservatives among them. Too many of them have become RINO's, closely resembling Democrats.
LOL Nothing..
Great assessment...They say one thing, yet do the opposite.
Ironically, these people are also educated well, and are smart enough to know that there are nowhere near enough of them to secure their own interests (mainly money and influence), so they must trick people into doing so who don't know any better. They've gotten very, very good at it.
It could be their heads aren't screwed on just right.
But I think that the most likely reason of all,
May be that their hearts are two sizes too small...
Now that wasn't such a hard concept to grasp was it?
It's not a goverment that is constantly adding new regulations and Executive Orders that give near plenary power to the WH as Obama has done repeatedly.
PS. Opposing taxpayer funded birth control is not "sticking our noses" in women's vaginas. No, it's increasing government spending pure and simple. If the taxpayers are supposed to pay for birth control, then why not have taxpayers pay for your toothpaste and soap as well? Both toothpaste and soap are important for women's and men's health.
PPS. It is Obama who went to war with Libya without Congressional approval, overthrowing the government there. The very first policy announcement from the new leaders there was the institution of a central bank! The announcement was made within 24 hours of Qadaffi's death. Do you think that is what the rebels in the street were fighting for??
Libya was one of the few nations in the world that didn't allow private bankers to control the production of money. Allowing international bankers to take over control of this is the very definition of imperialism. The real reason the US, France and the UK were so hot on overthrowing Qadaffi is that he planned to introduce a gold coin that could be used throughout Africa.
That was just too much for the imperialistic Obama bankers. Qadaffi had to "go."
The GOP is also the party of illusion. If there weren't hundreds of millions of dollars invested in GOP advertising, everyone would look at the man behind the curtain. Then the Republican Party would melt away like a wicked witch in a rainstorm.
Where is today's equivalent of conservative intellectualism? Can you name today's William F. Buckley? They are gone. The Religious right and Tea people have buried them.
Let me ramble through history a bit....In the 1850s, the Republican Party was formed when the "Conscience Whigs" could no longer stomach the policies of the "Cotton Whigs". This new party took the economic policies of Henry Clay's Whig party, "The American School of Economics" which called for high tariffs and government investment in infrastructure and combined it with the "Free Soil" party's position on slavery and homesteading, i.e., "Free soil, free labor, free men". This position proved popular among the northeastern industrialists and the western explorers/developers. As a result, Lincoln was elected without winning a single southern state. As the Progressive Party, the Republican Party continued to win the majority of elections and dominated local politics outside of the South...where many people were "yellow dog" Democrats, i.e., they would vote for a "yellow dog" before they voted for a Republican. This long domination of the American political system earned the Republicans the moniker, Grand Old Party, i.e., GOP.

After the formation of the Republican Party, the so called "Cotton Whigs" did not have sufficient support to be a political force. They were left with a bit of quandary, they agreed with the Republican Economic policy but did not agree with its positions on land ownership and individual rights. The bitterness of the Civil War left them resenting the Republican Party and so they became Democrats, albeit conservative Democrats. In 1964, 5 generations after the Civil War, Goldwater recognized the common values these southern Democrats shared with the Republican Party and began crafting a new coalition. Reagan added a watered down version of Christianity to the platform and walla you have a new Republican Party.
Somewhere along the way though, the GOP lost its belief in limited government and a balanced budget....sure it still gave lip service to these principles but little else. As a result, it has been steadily losing the northeast and the upper midwest where the Puritan work ethic remains a strong moral principle. As a matter of fact, if you look at the electoral maps for Obama and Lincoln's elections, ignoring the states added since Lincoln was elected, you will find them almost mirror images of each other....almost all states that went Republican for Lincoln went Democratic for Obama and states that went Democratic against Lincoln went Republican against Obama.
