This isn't the first time auto-makers have tried to design a motorcycle-car hybrid, but as "Top Gear" showed us a few years back, the Reliant Robin was hardly practicle. We really hope Lit Motors Inc. improved on that, because they're attempting to develop a new breed of motorcycle-car hybrids. Fortunately, developers say it'll take a baby elephant to knock this one over.

The Lit C-1 is technically a motorcycle, as it runs on two wheels, but has a chassis that looks a lot like a smart car. The vehicle uses a system of sensors and gyros to stabilize the bike, even if it gets it, and has built-in "smartphone" technology that keep it up-to-date on traffic and weather. It also uses an electric motor. Lit explains, "We are reinventing the motorcycle and rethinking the future of commuting to create green jobs supporting a sustainable future." They should be hitting the streets in 2014. Want one?

I sold my first bike to buy food for the family. I waited to buy another because we always lived from payday to payday. My ex went ballistic (mentally speaking) went 21,000 in debt (and those were the bills I found), and then left the family. When the financial and emotional dust had settled, I had enough money to buy a new motorcycle. It is now paid off. I enjoy riding it with my new (and lovelier, faithful, Dr. of a) wife. Problem is she is too small and not strong enough to hold the bike upright when stopped, so a three wheeler would be great for both of us.

Yes, I would like to try it. It certainly looks good for the general purpose trips that I would use a motorcycle for and would be much nicer in the winter weather. It might even make a nice vehicle to travel in, however: I might get claustrophobic if I could not open the windows.

Yeah, I'd like to be driving this in a Minnesota blizzard.... NOT! This thing is a death trap unless you're just driving it down the road to the Dairy Queen or something... anything hits it and you're dead as a doornail!

Oh and by the way, where do you put the groceries, the kids, that large item you just bought at the department store... the seamless, glossy advertisement forgets all that.... quite impractical I'd think...and believe me they didn't come up with this as a replacement for the motorcycle, they're dying to get you out of your car so they can control you better! Lightrail's even better because you can only go where they decide to lay tracks...

That's the first thing I thought when I saw this silly vehicle. Where do I put all my crap? But that is the very reason you don't see many motorcycles or very tiny cars on the road in the first place.

But the bad news is if they can get enough morons to drive these Bicycles with a Bubble, then the case will be made that the rest of us have to abandon real cars because they are a dangerous hazzard for the "Bubble" (should be their name)...as soon as an SUV hits a Bubble and a child dies in the Bubble....the lying media will go wild with round the clock hate for the car (not their own of course but all yours!)

I like to carry too much crap around with me, rendering a vehicle like that inappropriate for my lifestyle. Want to bring your briefcase or laptop? Too bad so sad. Want to bring a change of clothes and shoes? Too bad so sad. Want to bring your duffel bag? Too bad so sad. Want to bring your blanket or sleeping bag for the park or beach? Want to have space for recycling the beverage containers you contracted with at a local business? Too bad so sad, etc...
