Of course b/c we do every day. Almost all educators are liberal and we entrust our children to them each day. I am a teacher and one of the few who isn't liberal, but I trust my colleagues and I can vouch that although we may differ on many of our ideologies, we all agree when it comes to the welfare and safety of our children.

My wife is a liberal progressive social democrat. She swallows all the social spending and taxing the rich..... Somehow she just does not understand after the rich are taxed government spending will only increase. Then the tax man will come for us and no one will be there to stop him from redefining rich to a much lower level.

Mind you I don't have children but, the day I'd judge someone's character based on what politics they choose, is the day I start judging their character on what cartoons they watched as a child. As a side note, my father is pretty much a liberal(in most cases) and I'd trust my father to watch my kid/kids.

This is so stupid. Anyone who only sees someone (that they know in real life) only on the basis of their politics is nuts. I wouldn't base anything on that, it is the person, their character, etc. And that's it.

Because unlike a lot of people on this site, I don't base certain skills such as childcare on someone's political views. I'd trust them with a Conservative even though I don't like the Conservative viewpoint. (Although I'd prefer both sides not indoctrinate my children!)
