Would you rather cut off your hand or your foot?

I have had bad feet since i was a child. They've only gotten worse.

Only if I had no other choice.

I don't have to cut off anything because I DO NOT live in an Islamic country.

I have a disorder that causes blisters all over my hands and feet. They are not there all the time but they are very very painful. I have no finger prints and when my feet break out, its almost impossible to walk. Not contagious, but painfull as hell. I can say I know what it is like not to be able to use your hands for a while. So I would rather lose a foot. Ii need my hands more than I knew. We take them both for granted.

I agree that most don't realize the value of our arms, hands, feet and legs.
I was born with Cerebral Palsy which affected my whole left side. As a child I had to wear a brace at night because my leg would not straighten out. I went to physical therapy for close to 14 years.
My mom taught me to use my right hand and arm to do different things. I even learned how to type with one hand, which explains my many typos....lol
A few years ago I injured my right shoulder and left leg and was totally dependent on others to even feed me.
As a result of my many falls throughout my life, I now have arthritis in my right knee, so I understand how you feel.

Well, sounds like you have a great mom and also sounds like you are handeling your illness well. And typos,,,,, not a problem. If people give you grief over it, tell them you have parents.

I play the piano, so my hands are quite valuable, plus I am male. If I had to choose between my hands, I would cut off my right hand as more brilliant pieces have been composed for just left handed pianists, such as Charles Alkans Etudes

I could still play my drums missing a foot.

I'll cut off my left hand that has Cerebral Palsy. I still need my feet to walk. I've learned how to do things one handed........

I was just saying, we really take our hands and feet for granted. Until you lose one or can't use them for a while you don't realize it. One of my in laws lost her arm in a car accident, not to mention broke every bone in her body, ( she was pushed under an 18 wheeler) She lost an arm and was in a come for 3 months. She still has a hard time and this was 3 years ago. I make their holiday meals and deliver them to her. But I gotta give her props she is doing good.
