Not to mention, women do have Adam's apples, every human is born with one, but certain hormones just make it "stick out" more in men.

However there are plenty of women with quite obvious Adam's apples too.

Yes, we all have them, but I can't recall ever seeing a woman with one that is terribly obvious.

But others you would have no clue. I knew a transgender woman years ago, early 80's that was a $2,000 a night escort in NYC. She lived in Philly worked by appointment and was a art student where my ex went to school. To top it off she ended up marrying a plumber from Jersey

I wouldn't care either way but I might be tempted to stare as I never seen one in real life before.

So based on hate and ignorance (not knowing something) you would leave the restaurant. You do realize they are still human. Would you refuse service from a gay? BTW how would you know if they were a transgender

Oh so you get to define normal. You can have an opinion that is fine but admit is is based on hate and not intellect.

Nothing to do with hate and ignorance, but all about common sense. Would you leave your young boy alone with a homosexual priest??

Which equates to inane bigotry. Would I leave my son with my gay brother? Yes.

Why is it that when you dislike a person for some reason, and express it, that is ok. But when someone else dislikes you for your view, you call it hate?

Why would you assume a transgendered person is dirty or promiscuous? You are right, you don't know that with anyone else, but there is no "blatant chance" that you are taking by being served by someone who is transgendered? That is a complete fallacy? You are taking a more blatant chance simply by being served by someone who is single and dating as opposed to someone who is married and theoretically monogamous and I'm sure you would agree it is ridiculous to be uncomfortable being served by someone who is single. Or perhaps you should interview your server to find out if he/she is a nose picker.

I happen to know someone who is transgendered and you would never know it. She is monogamous and getting married. She is conservative and probably more fastidious, clean, and "normal" than many people you know.

Chris, I know you are a good person. Please reconsider this point of view and recognize that you cannot judge someone to be unclean or promiscuous or risky to associate with based on their being transgendered.

I know you aren't judging their worth as a person, and that's why I want to point out to you that to think there is a greater likelihood of contact with a transgendered person being a blatant risk is just not true. There was a time when people believed that black people were dirty and carried disease. We now know that is of course wrong, that it is ignorant if not hateful to believe that. It is the same for transgendered people. I think you are associating being transgendered with "alternative lifestyles" when in fact the majority of transgendered people just want to blend in and be "normal". Some are gay and some are not. Most are looking for monogamy. It is a mistake to associate it with promiscuity and a lifestyle that would lead them to be posing any risk to anybody. You are also not likely to even know that you are dealing with a transgendered person.

That's all I ask, all I want to do is help to make it clear who and what trans gendered people are. Even if you don't believe it is right for people to surgically change their genitals, and even if we want to argue over chromosomes, we are dealing with people who have what is essentially a birth defect, where the gender of their brains don't match the gender of their bodies. It's an error made during gestation, when chemicals and hormones are bombarding the fetus and creating it's gender. It leaves the person mentally one gender and physically another and I believe it would be cruel to ask them to remain that way. Some of them have malformed genitals and the doctors take a guess at what gender the baby is when it is born. Oh it looks mostly like a boy so raise it as a boy. We now know this is really not a kind thing to do. And in some ways it is sometimes like asking a person to be homosexual. If you are a man in your head and you are attracted to women but your body is female and you are told you must be with a man, imagine how traumatic that must be. It is easier to surgically alter the physical body to match the brain than to go the other way round, so we take the view that you are the gender you are in your head, and we can help make your life better by giving you...

That's it. That's all it is. We surgically correct lots of genetic errors to help make people's lives better. I hope someday we can all be more understanding and accepting of this one.
Thank you for letting me say my bit. I will let it alone now. I know you are a good person who would not hurt others even if you do claim to be rowdy. ;-)
