I believe in contributing to candidates that I like. Contributed to Obama and other democrats. Will not contribute to any republican this year.

My money makes no difference when corporations bankroll his campaign. It's not a democracy anymore.

Showing his tax returns would be a bad idea. Even people on the right hate when millionaires pay 0 percent income tax, or hide money abroad. Can it get any less American?

we have no clue what he paid ..now do we ?

We have to assume he is hiding something embarrassing or illegal. And we know that he is keeping a portion of his money in the Cayman islands and that's usually to avoid being taxed by the US. And if you ask me, that's a sure sign you're not a patriot!

Just like Obama !! Obama is a horrible person that is a habitual liar / pathological liar --so beware of what message he is trying to transmit to you !!! You could end up being a loser !

Obama and Romney should not be running they both seem the same in things and right now Romney is getting the same financial support from the companies that Obama had support from in 2008 which makes him very suspicious

so I want them both to loose

Do you have any information on super pacs? Donors don't concern me because they are limited and cannot be anonymous. It's the super pacs that are scary. They are anonymous and have no spending limit, and could potentially be foreign. So suddenly foreign entities affect the outcome of elections in America. Obama raised most of his money from American citizens (99% I heard, but might have to verify that). Romney is expected to get most of his help from super pacs.

that would be added as independent expenditures in which in 2008 none were being done for Obama it seems

Because the supreme court just ruled in favor of it. So the game has changed. Corporations, billionaires, and foreign entities are buying the election.

yea.... I wish that it was taken out myself especially with the whole loop holes that can be done around the whole "cannot coordinate with candidates or parties" all they have to do is things like saying they are "fundraising" which is the same tactic that lobbyist use to give money and influence the law
  • RobinPeta Zeruke 2012/07/24 04:11:44
    RobinPeta
Romney even has "secret" "fundraisers". I think that is borderline illegal.

Funny it was getting worse before Obama so what makes you think it will get better with Romney ?
  • RobinPeta Grabitz 2012/07/23 05:50:17
    RobinPeta
Romney has the exact same economical philosophy as Bush and his trickle down economics is well documented to not work. We tried it once and it sent the world on near straight trajectory downward. How anyone would think going back to Bushe's failed economics will get us out any faster is truly beyond me. I think the opposition on the right is mostly driven by racism.

In his heart he probably is, but he is the puppet for the right, so he has to move his position to the extreme right. He has literally change his position on most every subject, from abortion, to health care and immigration and taxation. I liked the old Mitt. He was loved in Massachusetts. He started Obamacare in MA and it is successful. But now he has to appeal to the right so he is against it. Sad.

Look at past practice --the economy always gets better with a republican as President

Today is nothing like the old days and never will be again . The economy was booming and booming hard when Clinton was in so looking at the past would mean nothing under these different conditions that we are in today .

I don't want Romney to win either. He will set this country on the same course bush did - straight into a ditch. At least with Obama we are slowly getting out of the bush mess. And considering the rest of the world isn't recovering any faster, Obama is doing a great job... And that despite the opposition from the right.

The right hasn't put forth a single job creation bill since Obama took office, but more than 40 anti abortion bills. It shows where their interest is. It's not to help America or Obama, but to push their extreme righ wing Christian agenda through.

I personally have donated $50 to him and will work at his local office after labor day , this is the first person I've ever worked for or donated time or money to. The stakes are high and we need new leadership before we crack open and out comes the oozing smell of socialism.

Being a republican violates six out of seven sins, all associated with SELFISHNESS. The only sin that is not selfishness is WRATH, but most of the time we see republicans wrathful because of selfish reasons. And what makes this so ironic is that nearly all of them call themselves Christ like. Couldn't be farther from the truth.
