Everyone agrees that we need immigration reform but I have noticed some news pundits confusing the terms amnesty and reform. They want to say that Republicans are not for REFORM because they do not agree with the details of the written reform Dems have offered. It is a poor bill and should not be supported as written. This does not mean Republicans do not immigration reform....but as I said if you listen to certain talking heads on HeadLine News or MSNBC, yu would believe that all Republicans would like to see everyone deported.

no we have seen this played out. I dont know how they have become so hateful that they would deport people who came here as children, dont know their countries of origin, nor the languages in some cases, to me that is just hateful.

Okay what about all the companies that hire them, i mean they are working some where right, so how about fine those companies who hire them and i mean heavily and problem solved, but you dont hear that do you. it is not true that they are working SOMEWHERE. here, the illegals have government debit cards (welfare) and free medical. they don't want to pick the chilies. they don't want to be migrant workers. we have good Mexicans here that are fed up with the ones that come illegally and drag their culture down.

You are a liar, they do not get welfare, or any other government assistance, i dated a social worker for 3 years and she would repeatedly come home and tell me that she had to go to classes on how to deal with illegal immigrants if they should come and apply, which they almost never try to do. Wanna know why, because they would have to give a name and if that name is not in the US databases along with social security number and all other information that US citizens must give to get governments help, no illegal person will jeopardize their status in this country just so they dont have to work.

As a matter of fact, the intake workers at emergency wards here are not even allowed to ASK if you have insurance until AFTER you are seen by a doctor. Blew me away when I first moved here and had an incident to go to the emergency. I took my BCBS card out and set it on the desk. The intake worker turned her head while pushing the card back in my direction and said....I never asked to see that and I do not see it. Put it away till you are asked.

No. The GOP filibustered the Dream Act in the 2010 lame duck session, and it actually had a majority of 55 yes votes with a couple Republicans voting yes, but it was that 60 vote rule again. They would love for the Army to round them all up and deport them. Who was talking about an electrified fence, but Herman Cain. Even Bush got turned down advocating a guest worker program.

I believe they would. But I also believe they would run it through our countries' legal procedures and not just throw out some type of blanket policy by an executive order during an election cycle to gain favor for one person and one person only.

i guess you haven't heard about Arizona. they just passed a law that can shut down any business owner/company that is using illegal labor. blame the sanctuary cities like San Francisco. and that law, was challenged and it does not have the teeth that it once had, so again you are dollar short and a day late. The president has explicit authority over immigration policy, that is part of the enumerated powers of the presidency. But then again some one who would suggest that undocumented people are receiving welfare and food stamps, why would i expect them to have read the constitution and if there are parts in it that they dont understand why would i think they would pick up a dictionary or a thesaurus, i know silly me why would you do that.
