People who don't vote assume that those of us that do will choose the best candidate. Only 54 percent of Christians are registered, in the last election only half of them voted. People need to take responsibility even if you can only vote for the lesser of two evils.

They voted in 2008 when there was no one worth voting for and turned out in record number for an idiot, even the dead voted for one candidate.

Sadly, it's "the people" who don't care. I guess it's part of being human to be a lazy bum, but it's too bad when you think of what our ancestors did (like die) to secure our rights.

Having lousy choices doesn't help either lol. Only it's not funny.

If people honestly cared about this country they WOULD vote. And then things MIGHT really change. But sitting on your rump and whining about it changes nothing, only obfuscates issues for those of us that take this country and our lives seriously.

edit: Vote, the choice is YOURS. Don't vote, you've abrogated your rights to say a word because you left the choice up to others.

For me I vote every election but getting tired of voting for the lessor of two evils. I do think it would help get more out though. Also if they would start a campaign labeled your your votes count! I've heard too many say they don't vote because their one little vote isn't going to make any difference. They don't see the bigger picture! I know our schools here are trying to teach kids more about the voting process and I applaud that, but the teachers are influencing the kids and they don't even really read about the candidates, all they pay attention to is the teacher, their parents and the ads! And I think that's a lot of problems with the younger generation voting now. My Grandson told me last election that he would vote for Obama, because he thought it would be "nifty" to elect the first black president. But he's like Obama too, I said but he's half white too and he just ignored that! That's scary if that's the reason why they are voting. This year I had the Granddaughter ask "Well what has Obama done wrong? This is our young voters not all but a vast majority! They are too lazy to research the candidates, But it's fun voting and that's what they are picking up in school! Or they don't vote because their parents never voted!

I forgot the ones that vote straight ticket (all the same party) then they don't have to make the decision or do any reading! They don't even have to vote for the lessor of two evils! How nice and easy!

But "worth voting for" is a state of mind, a lie, created by The Left; so Obama, the incumbent, can win virtually by default.

I would love to have a viable third party candidate, but right now we don't and we have a self described racist/marxist that needs to be voted out.

That's another saying that makes people not vote! "People's vote doesn't really count" so why should they go vote, they have better things to do than stand in lines!

Yeah how about good debates and in ads about how the candidate stands on issues, not bickering with the other side and trying to smear them constantly! Each man stands on his own merits, who can put the best foot forward and lets everyone know where HE/SHE stands on the issues! Like the Stevenson vs Eisenhower days! AND funds spent campaigning funds should have a limit for both parties, no buying the votes!

I doubt it, the media has already decided for us, and damn if it's not working for them. As long as the political system is viewed by the American people as having two parties, elections will be manipulated and the people will be deceived. This is an absurd front for what Americans believe to be a two-party political system. It covers fraud and helps charlatans and psychopaths cling to power. But the reality is that everybody is wearing the same hat with a different color.

There are more choices than the two-headed globalist party, Democrat or Republican. There are choices, but people let others tell them they have to put their vote for A or B and ignore the rest, so it really doesn't matter as long as people's minds are controlled by the propaganda.

I'm the poster child for the person who'd vote if there were a realistic alternative who/which would restore liberty.

The truth is that the perfect candidate will never be there, so those that are waiting will always be waiting. Elections are a series of stepping stones where you take the best of what you can get and hope to build on that each election. Those that want all in one shot will continue to do nothing.
