Jamaica is making a huge mistake for wanting to be a republic

"Monarchy" means absolutely nothing to any of the former colonies except for the fact that the Queen is on their money. Both Canada and Australia maintain official constitutional monarchy status, while in practice being totally democratic, just like Jamaica, and they are two of the best countries on earth. Jamaica's problems are caused by poverty, debt and unemployment, not the Queen.

yeah remember that other big country that split from england and does nothing but fight among itself and is so stuck in the past that it doesn't even have socialized medicine or good education programs by European standards and is constantly getting themselves into wars they can't afford? Trust me Jamaica is better off as a colony.
