Would it help Romney's chances for election if he announced he would not take a salary as president?

The last president who refused a salary for his job as president was John F Kennedy. He obviously didn't need the money and neither does Mitt. Most people don't begrudge a person for being wealthy. It's the greed factor that is irksome. Would it help Romney's chances if he followed Kennedy's lead?

Classical Liberal 2012/04/13 17:51:53Yes. Good idea+4The other thing he could do is say that he'd pay for his own vacations. Remember Obama's $4,000,000 Christmas?

But Obama doesn't need the salary, either, and he has been enjoying expensive vacations for his family at our expense (while accusing Romney of being out of touch), so maybe it might convince some.
Mitt Romney lost the last primary. So he's going to lose this one too, right? Can't even win a primary.
It seems that Ron Paul and his staff have reached a milestone before any of the other candidates. As Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum were not on the ballot in Virginia one may believe they will never reach this milestone.

Please step away from the voting booth. This country is in enough mess as it is now. We don't need more like you contributing to it.
Now I'm backing Mitt Romney because he has stuck with it this time.
