Would Donald Trump Make a Good Vice President? (Trump Thinks So)

Donald Trump's presidential run didn't pan out too well, but he might still have a shot at the White House. The billionaire business magnate announced he would be a good candidate for vice president. The best, in fact, though he said it in a roundabout way, buried under a slew of other recommendations and Trumpisms.

Trump told Newsmax, "Chris Christie’s a great guy. He’s a friend of mine ... Rob Portman, who I don’t know, but I hear fantastic things about. Certainly he’s been very well vetted over the years. He’s a professional who’s been there a long time ... On a younger side, you could look at Sen. Rubio, who I think could help with Hispanics ... They have a lot of very good people.” He adds with a smile: “Probably the best choice of all would be Donald Trump." Hm... Would he?

He's got it out for the Chinese. I'd make him ambassador to China and enjoy the fireworks. That would be after making John Bolton Sec of State and his boss. I doubt he'd accept, but it would be fantastic to see the Chinese leaders dealing with him!

As if the world weren't laughing at the US enough already. It is a damn shame that these current candidates are the best we can do. Actually, most of Congress needs to be fired, come to think of it. I would actually like to hear Trump tell them they're fired.

No, but compared to our current Biden-his-tongue, foot-in-mouth, vice-usurper; he would make a far better VP. And that's saying something as I don't much care for him.

As a Vice President I believe that America would see a very active person. Our current, as well as past, Vice Presidents, are pretty much no where to be found until it is an election year. I think he would make a better President, an refreshing absolute realist who would deal with issues without a biased background and opinion.

Apparently you are not a fan and, really neither am I. But, that being said, look at what has happened to this Country in the last several years. We are close to being bankrupt. We are literally hated in the World - and don't kid yourself. If we didn't have the technology we already have who in God's name would come and help us? We issue death sentences to those that oppose us. We need a change and any change would be better than what we already have.

I say yes cause this country needs to get back to being run like a business, spend no more then you have. But saying that I do believe there are some others that I'd pick as a Vice President before him, Newt, Michelle Buchmann, or Allen West. (Not sure of the spelling on these names...sorry)

Joe Biden is a very intelligent man - a constitutional lawyer and teacher. His wife has her doctorate in English. Did you listen to his speech to the families of fallen soldiers. If not, look for it to see a man with a heart as well as a brain. Trump - no brain and orange. The US is NOT a business. Did you ever hear of foreign policy? Which neither Romney no Trump have. Trump is a JOKE. 4 times filed for bankruptcy and you want him? LOL

I agree with you about Trump. I still stand pat on Biden. Oh you left out something. In addtion to being a constitutional lawyer etc. etc. (Don't know what that means any more in the era of Obama! ) He is also an idiot. How's the Sanduskey thing going with Happy Valley?
  • lkreu Fredric... 2012/08/06 19:14:50

Its Sandusky not Sanduskey! Your opinion means nothing to me and sure it means nothing to everyone on this page. You what they say about opinion - they are like assho*es - everyone has one. Wouldn't know about Happy Valley don't work there.

Trump is a blowhard and has no place other than where he is - promoting Trump. This is the media feeding us nonsense again. Creating a story where none exists. By all means, let us know what Bristol Palin thinks of all this. We're dying to know.....

Funny, that was Obama having a $40,000-per-plate fundraiser at George Clooney's house with all those celebrities, wasn't it? And "Barack" hanging at the White House with Will Smith? And Michelle saying she'd trade places with Beyonce!?! The evidence overwhelmingly suggests you are exactly wrong, that it is the Dem mind that favors celebrities.

Were talking celeb Presidents and VP. I know it's difficult to understand.
Why do republicans want celebrities as presidents or vice presidents? Is it a popularity contest?

The point is that republicans are somewhat childish.
