Republicans are increasingly falling in behind Mitt Romney’s White
House run, but they haven’t got a clue who he should add to the ticket, a
CNN/ORC International survey says.

Condoleezza Rice tops
the vice presidential wish list among Republicans and right-leaning
independents, according to the poll Wednesday. Twenty-six percent of
those polled backed the former national security adviser and secretary
of state under George W. Bush as Romney’s No. 2. (Rice has repeatedly
said she’s not interested in the job.)

Romney’s
former nomination rival, Rick Santorum, garnered 21 percent for the VP
spot, while Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie
tied for third with 14 percent.

Not really. One of her tasks as Secretary of State was to have vetted Barack Obama thoroughly. But because she didn't, we are stuck with him for now at least.

Same here. I think strategically she would be a good choice for Romney. It isn't a matter of intelligence because I admire her for it but I had to say no just because of her involvement in the Bush administration.

Don't get me wrong. On a personal note I like Dr. Rice and find her to be a brilliant woman. I for think it's sad shame that one with her accolades and attributes was thwarted to being nothing more than a glorified custodian trying to dust and polish every Bush administration debacle.

With that said... If she's going lower her bar once again, she better have her kit ready....
