Aside from Obama, he's the only candidate that is a current public servant (Gingrich, Romney, and Santorum are all former for a reason).
Ron Paul is also starting to Win. While Romney is winning rigged beauty pageants (anyone else notice that a lot of rules changed this year, and the RNC has acted against open elections?), Ron Paul is winning Delegates.
Recent reports show Ron Paul supporters are taking Iowa, Minnesota, Nevada, Alaska, Massachusetts, Louisiana, and more I cant remember at this moment.
And the GOP is currently threatening Nevada (to disqualify their delegates), because Ron Paul supporters are practically garenteed delegate positions. Thankfully Nevada officials seem to have dignity, and told the GOP to go fly a kite. You cant change the rules in the middle of the game.
Would any of you be surprise if Ron Paul win the election?
Pete

No..here why

Romney has made a glaring faux pas....in his budget plans to reduce the deficit...he is still talking about tax cuts for the wealthy, and then cutting spending on important programs like Veterans Healthcare and Veterans Disability pensions and stripping SSI that some people require to get by on...primarily the elderly.
So, you never know...if Romney and Obama alienate enough voters...we could see the "unimaginable" happen.
