Well, if he's an American ga-billionaire, and he wants to be president, it wouldn't hurt for him to chip-in a little. Maybe $100 million. That wouldn't kill him. Geeze he bets more on a Perry bet than that. After all, he made his money because of America not in spite of it. We are a country, ya know. Let's get this back to the Eisenhower days when we were a strong country. We can do it again.
The only was to pay down the debt is to stop the insane spending, pass a ballanced budget amendment and actually have a budget. Three things Obama and Dem/liberals can't do.
Getting rid of the completely useless Dept of Energy would be great, then get rid of the Dept of Education and restructure it to make it work would be nice too. It 's not the military that's the problem it's the lack of govt funds because not enough people are working and paying taxes and the lack of a budget which has allowed the insane spending, plus all the illegal immigrants that are sucking up govt funds. The returning military could easily be put to work on the border to close it, that would be money well spent and we already have the man power. The country needs a strong military.
If you took all of the wealthy's money,of those who have'nt left because of taxes and regulations which have made it next to impossible to invest in job creating businesses,it would not even pay 10% of our national debt, bob. As long as this idiot and his communist czars are running this nation we stand '0' chance of creating jobs that can be nation building.Too much government leads to financial failure and control of the people.
Romney would have probably had to have invested in Solyndra . . . And the last I heard from Dow, Solyndra wasn't doing so well. In fact, the Chairman of the Board of Directors is now the Mayor of Chicago . . . So, THAT also kind of tells you that $5M-Dollars is just a Drop-in-the-Bucket. Solyndra is a California solar firm backed by a B.H. Obama fundraiser . . . But instead of picking a winner, the government investment planner (Rahm Emanuel; at THAT particular time) backed a loser. The firm failed, putting more than 1,000 people out of work and taxpayers on the hook for $535-Million. Thus, those kind of numbers are somewhat out-of-Romney's league. Here is what that looks like . . . Solyndra $535,000,000
No because under Obama spending will more than likely increase with the any taxes he raises, therefore that debt will continue to rise.
Sorry but cutting spending is more important of an issue for me than taxing the rich, (well mainly because I believe taxing the rich, will just hurt their little feelings, and not do anything for our economy). And not just the military budget.
Did you know if we cut every single dollar spent on the military we'd still have 30% deficit.
