Would a miltary Coup D'Etat ever happen in the USA?

I said no only so that "they" don't pay me a visit in the night... hehehe. I think it's kind of sad that our constitution was drawn out so that the citizens could potentially do something if they thought the government was getting out of hand... but now with the sheer volume of people with vastly differing opinions... and then the largest standing army in the world... I don't think it's conceivably possible. Those good old occupy boys and girls need to put down their guitars and start playing the political game. That might help. A devastating earthquake might tear up the west coast... That might help in some strange, unforeseen ways. But a Coup? Doubtful.

Wisdom is the better part of valor so good move to say no. I love the military and they are far more progressive thinking than Congress and are more sympathetic to the people, the real people, not the $$$.

There was a time when I would have thought it was a good thing to clean house, but considering the military is "just following orders" and installing a global empire for the communist international community, not so much anymore.

As for the takeover as a result of breakdown, what do you think the Homeland Security police state is being built for? They even have their own homeland army, spy grid, camps(despite some people's insisting they still don't exist, probably along with denial of a New World Order that has been repeatedly admitted to), etc. I know not all of the military rank and file are sold, as I know some who are aware of what's going on, but I don't believe there's enough of them, and what good would they do to fulfill their oath to defend and protect We the People and the Constitution when they're deployed in foreign nations doing the bidding of the Global Government which is actually damaging the integrity of what's left of the Constitution. It's outrageous.

The pattern has played out numerous times in civilization where a popular uprising has led to Fascist and Communist governments. In the USA however we have a very progressive thinking military who I see as a moderating influence worldwide despite the string pulling done to them by General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, etc. I would think the US military would bring the economy back and enable true free enterprise.
