This should've NEVER gotten by the system! Imagine how many others are getting away with this kind of scheme .. there are many! They always pick on the wrong people .. goes to show how efficient they really are .. SMH! I'm so glad she got caught!

All that aside, Turbo Tax is another scam. I bought the software, did my taxes as accurately as possible, and came out owing money. I went to a professional tax preparer in the same year, and got money back.
Given the fact that the IRS never finds errors in their favor, Turbo Tax might as well have been designed by the IRS to increase revenue.

She should have used the money on lipo, botox and plastic surgery and a lapband. *LOL*

The systematic problem is the fact that people think it's ok to scam organizations or other people for that matter.

Yesterday I went to the movies, paid for it with a $50 bill and the kid gave me back $50 in change. I could have walked away with "free" tickets, but I wasn't raised that way. Did the kid make a mistake? Sure. Should I profit from it? Granted, it was only ten bucks, but in my opinion, ten bucks or ten million bucks... if it's not my money, that's not right. Period.

I agree with you. Had you walked away he would have been written up for a short drawer or worse been fired for theft.

okay follow me lying lady, i did not say Tax cheating does not happen, what i said is you dont know anyone who works in the IRS and namely you dont no anyone who works there that would give you information about some one else's Tax records, because if they did he/she would be fired. Its called being against the law.

I worked at the IRS for a very short time because the pay was too low for my qualifications and student loan debt. I don't enjoy working with idiots either.

They issued her refund on a debit card. This only occurs when the person doesn't have a checking or savings account. How many millionaires wouldn't have a checking or savings account? So the real question is: does the State Worker(?) who issued the refund know the perpetrator or is their malfeasance really the result of a Unionized system that hires and rewards on the basis of race, gender... everything except the proven ability to do a job well?

this was not turbo taxes problem it only uses what info you put in but the biggest problem was no red flags were caught .come on how stupid do the IRS workers have to be to not see this.As soon as my income jumped several tousand I got called for an audit but they just went on a paid this woman .....wheres mine damm it
