Houston PD sucks, I had a bad experience with them as a tourist some years ago,they didn't like yanks according to one officer

12 hours? If they leave it at that then maybe fair (maybe) but I have known for most of my driving life that it is illegal, and to be discrete where you flash your headlights.

The same thing almost happend to me. I saw police writing tickets for left turns based on a sign that was across the street, high up a pole. I started telling drivers that no left turn was allowed and pointing to the sign. I was not telling them that the police were watching, I was only pointing out the sign and telling them to obey the law. After a couple minutes a cop walked up to me and told me I was going to jail if I didn't leave. I left.

Where I am people call into radio shows and the DJ makes a city wide broadcast where the speed traps are. As photo radar is BAD where I live.

That crap was tried in South Florida and the Judge put a stop to that nonsense. You wanna set up a speed trap then maybe you should hide just a little better!
