The negligence of Planned Parenthood appears to be a contributing factor in the tragic death of 24 year old Tonya Reaves. Ms. Reaves passed away last Friday after complications from a failed abortion at an Illinois Planned Parenthood clinic. Documents released by CBS detail just how disastrously the clinic responded to her medical emergency.

At 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Reaves received a second-trimester dilation and evacuation (D&E;) abortion at Planned Parenthood, located at 18 S. Michigan Ave. in Chicago. Following the abortion, Reaves began bleeding heavily and it continued at Planned Parenthood for five and a half hours before a Fire Department ambulance finally took her to Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 4:30 p.m., according to Miller. Then, once the young woman arrived at the hospital, the reports make it appear emergency personnel had to start from scratch to figure out the extent of Reaves injuries.

Tonya Reaves underwent two procedures at the hospital, the first at 5:30 PM and second at 10:12 PM. Doctors found what they called an “uncontrollable bleed” during her second surgery. She was pronounced dead in the operating room at 11:20 PM.

Planned Parenthood’s negligence has not gone unnoticed on Capitol Hill .

People die in medical procedures all the time. I do not agree with abortion, but come on, you could die having your tonsils removed!

I agree there should be an investigation -- and as far as I've heard, the CPD is running one. I could see other organizations getting involved too.

But CONGRESS? Oh, please. More tax dollars WASTED.

Planned Parenthood should receive no Tax Dollars from the Federal government and It might be interesting to note the person who started Planned Parenthood but I will allow you the pleasure of researching that.
I already did. I look forward to the day when Abortion is stopped.

Good old Congress. Has no time to investigate all the criminal activity of the President and his Justice Department, but can really jump all over the doctor and nurses at Family Planning. Of course if the feds weren't involved in health care as they are not mandated to be, they wouldn't need to investigate this either, huh? FP may employ scum - but they in no way come anywhere close to our elected officials.

This one died or was under the attention of the media and someone got 't-off' and the fact is there are many more deaths... Over 50% of people that go to abortion clinic and planned parenthood DIE!

Such an idiotic post. Wonder if any woman has died from giving birth? yes no? I wonder which has the higher rate. I don't know by the way but I suspect pregnancies as proper pre natal care is frowned upon by republicans.
