Debates have flared over where it’s okay for women to breastfeed, but here’s one location that’s definitely off-limits — inside a stranger’s home with someone else’s baby.

That’s what happened in South Dakota where a mom was startled to find a woman she didn’t know breastfeeding her child in her Brookings bedroom on Sunday, radio station KJJQ reported. Read more…

the only thing i can think of is maybe she recently lost her own baby and it was comfort she was looking for just that one last time.

That would be so freaky! Walking in to a room in my home to find some lady with her boob in my kids mouth, just chilling out...I would go psycho on the bitch. Don't touch my baby with your weird leaking boobs

I think the arrest was more for the break-in and not the breast feeding, don't you.

in this case the mother did not even know the lady and this woman broke into the house so yeah it's wrong. however if the case was that the mother was going old style and using a wet nurse then there would be nothing wrong with it.

    Unless she were a redhead.
That would give the baby a bad temperament.

Well, since the woman was an intruder, I can't really get upset over it. it doesn't matter what reasons she had for doing it, the woman deserved to be arrested. You can't just go around messing with other people's kids.

I don't think there's any wrong with breastfeeding someone else's baby, it was a trendy thing to do back in the 60 & 70s, but breaking into a stranger's home and breastfeeding their baby is a totally different story. Perhaps she recently lost a baby...who knows, whatever the case may be, she obviously could benefit from some professional psychological help.

creepy....I wonder if the lady who was arrested lost her baby after birth or late in the term. If that is the case, what she did is understandable, as she is likely traumatized (not to say acceptable), and she needs professional help.

Well this is strange. I've heard of breaking and entering but can't say I have ever heard of breaking and feeding. Hmmmm.

Not really, a stranger was breast feeding the baby?
The mom obviously feeds the baby, a stranger shouldn't.

I would be freaking out if that happen and would have the woman and the child tested. Which I'm sure they'll do. Diseases and drugs can be transmitted through breastmilk; such as tuberculosis, prescription medications, illegal drugs and even HIV.

Well I guess if the baby was screaming and hyper distraught that might be OK.

Considering the fact that the woman is obviously nuts and could have just spread who knows what deseases to the child she is very lucky to be alive. Maybe they can give her a dolly to play with in her new room.
