Witness: Someone let gunman inside Colorado movie theater

AURORA, CO -- A man who was at the Colorado movie theater where a dozen people were killed this morning, says he saw the gunman.

He says he thinks someone deliberately let the gunman inside once the movie started.

Here's what he told TV station KCNC this morning live on their newscast.

"As I was sitting down to get my seat, I noticed that a person came up to the front row, the front right, sat down, and as credits were going, it looked like he got a phone call. He went out toward the emergency exit doorway, which I thought was unusual to take a phone call. And it seemed like he probably pried it open, or probably did not let it latch all the way. As soon as the movie started, somebody came in, all black, gas mask, armor, and threw a gas can into the audience, and it went off, and then there were gunshots that took place."

Wrong. The guy was inside the theater, took a phone call or faked taking a phone call then stepped outside the emergency door. He put something to not let the door close and then came back in with all his gear on and started shooting. A guy was right there and saw it and it wasn't this guy in the video.

Even the opening comments of state the same thing but your title states something different.

I've heard 2 stories. He let himself out, armed up and came back. And he had an accomplice. Only time will tell.

The witness says it looks like the guy got a phone call, got up and went out through the Emergency Exit, and then re-entered in costume and started shooting. It doesn't say anything about another person letting him in.

Your title says something that isn't supported by the info you posted.

Ok. Then the reporter or Editor should have been more careful about making sure that the quote paralleled the headline. Which is what I said in my e-mail lol.

I heard this same story from another witness. She didn't know if it was the shooter or someone different. The police isn't releasing much information on what they have.

All the gun control fanatics have siezed this opportunity - they are hysterical. Someone like this will manufcature a bomb and blow up the entire buiilding but they say its the guns fault

sunday a truck a carrying 23 people crashed killing 13 people and the rest were injured. I don't here anybody saying we should band the ford F250 for killing that many people.

I had heard that the shooter came into the theater with the other movie goers. He positioned himself in the front row and then when the movie started, he went out the emergency exit, propped the door open, changed into his killing clothes and then came back in through the same emergency door. It will be interesting to hear what the real story finally is.

The witness seems to be describing him leaving the theater and returning again after changing. If the man were letting him in he would have just opened the door and stepped aside. This description matches the story of him buying a ticket and then using the exit to go change and get is weapons and returning. Do these journalists go to school for some special skills? It doesn't appear that this reporter has any idea about what the hell is going on. Or possibly it's a sensationlized headline just to get people to read rehashed news.

IF they find the one(s) who did this ..
then these should be charged as ACCESSORY(ies) to the crimes ..
and whatever else CO State Laws are on the books ..
(I'm sure that the towers can tell if there was a ping off them just prior to the shooting .. )

(Now let me also state .. I've heard that the MURDERER Bought a ticket .. rigged the exit to not lock down .. and returned armored and loaded .. )

Who knows what the truth is. I heard this morning on our local news that the police have a 2nd person person of interest they are looking for. All kinds of stuff is flying around right now.

I wouldnt flat out say he was wrong. Other people reported that there were at least 2 people involved.

Also, this same person was asked, was this two different people. He said yes.

The guy closest was in the 2nd row and saw it all and was the first one to come forward. These guys weren't speaking out until later.

Actually, the first video is from the night of the shooting. The second is of the exact same guy in the opening post, unless my eyes are failing me.

Interesting! According to the accounts I heard, he had bought a ticket and then went out the back exit by putting tape or something to block the door from closing behind him. Then geared up and came back in. With ALL the detail of his apartment being boobetrapped... this sure sounds like just one person to me! Just very well planned.

This individual did not say the "time" it took for the credits to finish and the movie to start? I would think as prepared as the killer was, he would have needed but just 5 minutes... if that?

It's a distinct possibility, or the gunman could have rigged the door not to lock so he could sneak in at a later time. Hopefully if anyone else is involved they'll be caught and prosecuted.

There must be video footage from cameras in the theatre and outside [perimeters] that LE have and are scoping - thing is, will the truth ever come out or will video be cashed and lost in space?
