With the recent week of scandals, who do you think deserves a second chance - Senator Larry Craig or Quarterback Michael Vick?

JadedTLC 2007/08/31 18:13:33
Senator Larry Craig should get a second chance. He has a wide stance.
Quarterback Michael Vick should get a second chance. It's the dog days of summer.
Neither deserve a second chance.
Both Deserve a Chance in Purgatory.
You!

Senator Larry Craig plead guilty to improper conduct and never told his wife, his constituents, or his fellow Senators. Quarterback Michael Vick plead guilty to brokering dogfights and killing dogs who performed poorly in the ring. These men have apologized in their own ways. Do they deserve to get a second chance?

Although, as far as Craig goes I'm just sick to death of him and his toe tapping story. I couldn't care less whether he engages in homosexual sex or not, I'm not his wife. Vick is another case, that's one of depravity and cruelty and he needs to PAY. I won't be satisfied with anything less than his getting the fullest punishment possible under the law.

It doesn't matter it you are a politician or a famous football player, you should be treated just like every one else. I don't and will never forgive Vick for the terrible things he did to these innocent dogs. As far as Craig, why would I forgive a pervert?

Shouldn't his family be the ones to decide if he is wrong? Sex is a personal matter, family matter. Like church and state. Craig has done some good things for Idaho. At least he's not mudering dogs, One of God's greatest gift to us is animals. My birds, talk with me. My dog, cuddles with me. They respond more to my emotions that humans do.

If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times, GIULTY IS GUILTY, Quit screwing around with these people. The regular Joe would already be in jail. Then you wonder why our system does't work. THE LETTER OF THE LAW, FOR ALL. Then maybe our streets would be a little safer.

This is a hard poll to vote on. I think the only thing Craig is guilty of is being a liar, oh, and ya know, the whole asking for sex in a public restroom thing. Who doesn't lie to make themselves look better sometimes? But, like Clinton, his own family can't trust him so to HELL with him. I don't even need to think twice about Vick, no purgatory just straight to hellfire and damnation.

I really want to see how the whole story plays out with Senator Craig. I don't feel completely sure he's guilty. I think time will tell what this is all about. On the other hand, Michael Vick has pleaded guilty to something very cruel, and the evidence was clear as to what he had done. He needs to pay the price for it, but I will definitely give him a second chance when he has faced the consequences. Neither one of these men seem to be beyond help and I think they both deserve second chances.

Their crimes are like comparing apples and oranges. There is a difference between killing a animal and soliciting sex. Vicks crime was cruel, Larry Craigs crime wasn't.

Craig is only a pervert. Vick enjoys causing pain to living beings. There's no comparison. Craig's stay there should be shorter so long as he sticks to adults for his perversions.

WHETHER LARRY CRAIG IS GAY OR NOT .....OR WHETHER HE SOLICITED GAY SEX IN THE AIRPORT BATHROOM OR NOT....... IT'S MORE OF A MORALS ISSUE THAN THE CONTINUOUS INHUMANE CRIMES COMMITTED BY MICKEY VICKEY....A LITTLE ORAL SEX (LEGAL OR ILLEGAL)....HELL, WHO WOULD TELL HIS WIFE AND CONSTITUENTS. WHO HASN'T FELT THE URGE OR NEED ? MAYBE IT WAS ENTRAPMENT, MAYBE HE WAS LOOKING. WHATEVER, IF HIS WIFE AND FAMILY HAVE FORGIVEN HIM. HE'S PROBABLY STILL THE CLEANEST POLITICAN AROUND. SEX IS A NATURAL HUMAN EVENT. I WOULDN'T WANT HIM LOCKED IN THE ROOM WITH MY YOUNG SONS. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A QUESTION......BUT HE SHOULD FINSH HIS TERM. HE WILL GET A SECOND CHANCE TO MOVE ON

I think both are pitiful. A grown man going to a bathroom looking for sex. But he is not as disgusting as michael vick who tortured, killed dogs for his own person enjoyment. The senator only hurt his nasty self, but michael vick hurt alot of animals out of sick pleasure. Someone that does violent crimes does not deserve a second chance, he chose to throw away his career when he fought his first dog. The senator threw his career away when he acted like a pervert.

Obviously, Dras is a Homophobe and way out of touch with reality.

To say that Craig's actions, to attempt and solicit consentual sex in a public bathroom (allbeit illegal and with consequences) is worse than Vick's actions is ludicrous.

Vick raised dog's in a tortured environment so that all they wanted was to kill. And if they didn't live up to his expectations they were tortured to death. And the rich man did it for money.

There is no comparison. But you know what they say about homophobes.......

Are you for real? How can you put Vicks crime on a lower level? He killed and tortured dogs, Craig did something that you can't even equate to Vicks behavior. You consider Vick lesser a bastard than Larry Craig?

I don't think either one will get a second chance. I don't know what's going on with Craig. First he resigned , now he may not? His own party has dropped him like a bad habit. Does he expect the Democtats to help him out? I'd like to see all of Congress and Bush/Cheney resign and we can start all over.
