Wisconsin Sikh temple shooting: Racist Act OR Domestic Terrorism?

I only checked undecided because the questioner, for some silly reason, didn't think to include a "both" option, since "racist act" and "domestic terrorism" are NOT mutually exclusive. Why would anyone think otherwise?

Some dimwit with a gun and a fear of those different than himself, saw a bunch of people some of whom had beards and turbans, and probably decided he was going to "take back" or "save" the area from such obvious evildoers....
And like others of his ilk, he neglected to find out if they really were the people he felt so threatened by......Or he just didn't care,......Or he was too stupid to understand the difference. No bets either way.

Sikhs aren't a racial group, they are a religious group. However, they do wear beards and headgear that make them appear to be Moslems. The shooter is ex-military, and I won't be surprised if he has PTSD and served in the middle east.

I think it's way to early to know this as a fact.

They are not telling much about this story. I see stories about it and on the comments, the liberals are blaming, Michelle Bachmann,Fox News and Rush Limbaugh like the left does before they get the facts to a story. And then we have those that believe our second amendment rights to own guns should be stopped. This is truly a tragedy.

Can we just call it a work place shooting like they did with Ft. Hood even thought the gunman did not work there?

I have been watching CNN and I don't really know what happened besides some one dinging out and killing a few people. RIP to the ones that died as a result of this madman, And I wish a speedy recovery to the ones that survived. And Kudos to the cop that killed the sorry SOB. I know that Wisconsin does not have a Death Penalty

I doubt racism enters into it. Hate of religion,or of a religion is likely the motive.Though it is a good place to go to just shoot a lot of people.Some shootings are just about the numbers.

Nowhere near enough information to know ANYTHING just yet. However, the Police has released that it was an act of domestic terrorism. I can't wait to see how this turns out. Those poor people..
