Yes, I can't wait. I wonder if the lie detector will explode when Obama speaks? Maybe his pants will catch on fire! I seriously can't wait until the VP debate, that will be like Comedy Central!

Probably not, after a 2 1/2 or 3 Year campaign, what is left to be said that hasn't already been uttered and parroted endlessly?

Absolutely! I'll watch the debates and then I'll actually vote.

In my mind, you're only allowed to complain if you're fully versed on the issues and you've spoken your voice on a ballot. Then and ONLY then have you earned the right to complain.

I want to see the first one, this is how the tone will be set for the other ones come after that. I wonder how quickly obama will get defensive about everything?

Yep! But, all that stuttering and stammering by Obama without his teleprompter will be painful on my ears though. And he makes me nauseous too. Gads! Better check my Phenergan and ear plug supply.
I am really looking forward to the Ryan and Biden debate too. Oh happy day! Bwahahahahaha!

Mitt should use some really big words that barry doesn't know...I'd love to see a question that goes so far over barrys head that it spins......and he admits he doesn't know the answer...and stutters for a solid 30 seconds......!

Wouldn't miss them. Seriously, if you do all you'll hear is spin afterwards...for days/weeks/ad nauseum. And i don't need to be told what to think, what subtext there was. I'll watch and see and hear for myself. I don't need a translator, it'll be in English.

Might watch the top two candidates talking to each other.
I will definately watch if at least 5 candidates are allowed into the debates.

Illinois, as of 9/3/2012 has two presidential candidates filed, and neither is named Obama or Romney.

The debates are more useful to the uninformed voter than they are to people who follow politics and policy, mostly because they introduce candidates policies to many voters for the first time. That being said, I think the classification of them as actual "debates" is somewhat incorrect. For the most part, the moderator asks questions, to which the candidates tend to bloviate about whatever they want, often unrelated to the question asked. I suppose it does portray a certain contrast between the candidates that many voters will find useful. As the challenger, they almost certainly have to favor Mitt Romney by introducing him to certain segments of the electorate for the first time, and putting him on stage with a more recognizeable figure such as the President.

Ugggg, you just hit on a sore spot with me! Why on earth do they call that stuttering bumbler off of a teleprompter some kind of great orator? Allen West, Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan, they are great because they know what they're talking about and they can articulate it without all the stumbling and bumbling around, Obama cannot!
